looking at that slideshow and the nights are dark and the sunset was cool wish we had that in AH2

Mere settings in the game. You can have night on your machine offline any time. Dot command is something like..
| .time 5 30 00  | That will set the time to 5:30am :)

and for grins, the old splash screen

I had such an amazing and hilarious custom splash screen that I used since I played AHI until the new terrain patch came out and they overwrote it. :furious

I forgot how blue the water was in ah1.

I have a vid that Morph made called ah past & present. I'll have to watch it again.   :airplane:

Lol, glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking that!

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

Man this brings back alot of memories. It's so amazing to think that I've been playing this game for almost a decade . Oh how I remember there were only 2 types of airfields (small and large) with 2-3 LASER ack that could shoot up to 10k. I remember how you could only takeoff in one direction and that there were no hangers so flight was unhindered. I remember how you could bomb and destroy both the tower and runways of enemy bases. And one thing I'm sure many of you will be thankful is gone, I remember paying $30 a month to play online.  :D

So many memories.

Heh KKEN IIRC I started in Dec 1999 while the game was in beta 3. I remember flying for free those months until HTC went gold, after which I had to mow yards all summer to pay the monthly fee.

Geez do I feel old and I'm not even 30 yet.  :old:

I definitely remember that... I played the 2-week trial and had a blast, but I sure wasn't paying $30 a month for any game... :O  I definitely signed up when it went $15, though.    :airplane:
