How much longer till its time to move on?
« on: October 29, 2009, 06:50:58 AM »
O.k. lots of great posts about other variations including WWI and Korea so isn't it time to put something else on the server that some people might actually venture into? The AvA has never even come close to what the CT was and is a block of unused server space, how about we say "so long AvA, hello Korea-WWI?"...

WWI is already on the way.  If HTC were going to plan another arena, I'm sure they couldn't just throw it together at the drop of a hat.  It would take time.

The AvsA arena has been improving very good as of late......... the numbers are rising, the battles, air combat is growing,

as someone told me once, if you are not having fun, then don't do it ( read as fly there ), find another arena.......

but don't destroy or take away something people are trying to revitalize and are having good progress with .......

my  worthless 2 cents
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

He's just trolling, TC.  The Korea-era planes haven't been created and it's not like the AvA is a huge burden on HTC's servers.  The AvA isn't being run the way he'd like it to be run.  Reminds me of one of Stephen Crane's poems:

In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
Who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said: "Is it good, friend?"
"It is bitter - bitter," he answered;
"But I like it
Because it is bitter,
And because it is my heart."

Hate to say it, but I have to agree with Karaya on this.  From what I have seen from forum posts and talking to others.  It seems the attitudes that chased some people out are still around.  It's the only reason that I won't venture into the AvA arena.

Maybe its time to get past the hearsay and try it out. This way you can form an opinion based on experience rather then one based on someone elses opinion. It's been alot of fun in there the past few weeks. The 2A's have been populating the place and theres almost no 200 banter of anything other then friendly and respectful chatter. Try it out. Atleast give it a shot. I think you'll be surprised. I think you should try giving people the benefit of the doubt or at the very least a second chance. Again you might be surprised.

Its no troll oldman, its a legit question posted to the masses. This forum is for discussion of possible scenarios and the AvA just ain't working out. Because you don't agree you label it as a troll, I bet if you posted a poll more people would support trying something else than what clearly isn't working.
