Maybe flat roofs for LOD, with peaked roofs when you're much closer and less of the city is in view?
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

So the other non-strat buildings are in chunks of blocks, but that implies you can blow up entire blocks, yes?

Given that they don't apply to strat effectiveness, do they still yield bomb damage points?  :D

The roofs may look flat from 2k but from 15k and through a bomb sight they will look great.

Except for the mountain, it looks a lot like Cleveland, Ohio. Destroy it! :D

Dresden was hardly a typical city - seat of the kings of saxony for over 500 years it was regarded by many as the most beautiful city in the world. until Feb 1945 that is ...

I dont want to start a flat roof in game debate. If having the bldgs having flat roofs as opposed to pitched roofs (pick a design) would be better for the game. So be it.
At 250-300 MPH  its really not an issue. LOL

That being said.
I picked Dresden and berlin because they were two cities who's names would be easily recognisable as being part of WWII. And since the buff guys are getting woodies over the new cities. What better city to use as an example LOL

I could just as easily chosen Bonn

Frankfurt

Or Rotterdam

Or any of a hundred other cities and I think the point I was making would have been the same.

Feel free to prove me wrong if you would like  ;)

While were at it, why not a map of a US place that saw action, like pearl harbor?

Or Detroit, even thoe it didn't see action, I would give the game a little peice of home:)
