2012 is a false prophecy.  Maya people are some sick and tire of hear about it, telling everyone that it will not happen.

in the state of texas a verbal agreement can and has been upheld in the court of law, im pretty sure this typed up agreement will hold up as well.

for a verbal agreement to be upheld you need to provide proof of terms of agreements..

so in fact, this is a legal document in the state of texas

Even the highest terrestrial tsunami would only reach so many miles inland, a bad day for many to be sure but hardly the end of days.

There's more than one course mentioning a new world in December of 2012.
One of few is roman pope prophesy for example,it states that there will be 267 popes, Benedict is 265Th
And how did they know about galactic alignment 2000 years ago anyway, its fascinating.

But who's to say that they're not prophesizing the fall of the catholic church? Or reform in the catholic church?

IMO, prophesy ALWAYS (if it's true or not, your call) has more than one meaning, and people will interpret it as they wish. Man naturally wants to know when it will go extinct, as it's not a matter of if, but when, and our curiosity is perked by that. We want to know how, and if we'll go through it, and if so, when can we expect it?

When you have a society that is fascinated by the stars, has a basic knowledge of mathematics, has written records to pass to the next generation, and a zest for knowledge that is unclouded by religion, you can discover many things about the universe even without a telescope.

But that sure a hell doesn't mean the world is gonna end.  :aok

There was a news declaration from a south American historian or archeologist. (Expert in the Mayan calendar) He said he was tired of all that mumbo-jumbo about the last day and the calendar sequence simply reboots on that day to start another cycle equally long.
But we are doomed, judgement day will come when the drones start thinking :D

Batch is correct.  My wife is taking a course in Business Law and her textbook focuses on contracts.  One of the first concepts is that a contract is something for something.  What does your friend get?  Also, offers made in jest are not valid.  It can be argued that your friend is lacking the capacity to make an agreement.

While all this is silly fun, there is very little you can do to legally enforce anything (other than a gift or something negotiable) your friend might sign.

So legal or not, is anyone else bothered that this is his "friend."
