PC Version Modern Warfare 2; Too Many Hacks to Enjoy MP?

and it's very likely people aren't cheating even when you think they are. I've been banned from hundreds of servers without cheating. Most people just think they're way better than they actually are.

It's very likely many people who you think don't cheat are cheating. Smart ones don't do it so obvious to get caught.

I play the PC version of course, no self respecting FPS gamer plays consoles unless he really has no other choice. (for the mouse and keyboard)



Yes, P2P multiplayer is a total death sentence for any true PC-FPS game. The lag between players can be very noticeable at times. However, being a fan of COD4 I was buying MW2 no questions asked.

There is only one gun that is worth using in this game and that's the Styr AUG, if played in the defensive/holding roll, aka camping your tits off you will destroy everyone.

Warspawn, COD is NOTHING like real war, think of it as an AH equivalent of a 25km/25km dogfighting arena where people fly spitfires only and spawn at 20K.

On the top of that, it depends which "game mode" u on.

1- Team deathmatch easy will provide your position to everyone. Go team deathmatch hardcore, at least. When u kill a guy, it will turn his camera angle toward u, even on hardcore.
2- Most know the maps better than you know your own kitchen. There are only few spots for sniping/ambush, u can bet that those guys already have they guns pointed at you when they turn around the corner.
3- The highest scorers run around and kill as many as they can before they die. Except some rare cases of sniping, u will not live long if u stay in one corner.
4- They are THAT good, will do a back flip and poke u in the head at 200y. Look at this guy in the vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x55fifmC5kk, many like him online, u don't stand a chance when u still think about setting up ur little love nest, hoping u'll surprise a guy or 2.

I played CAL-O, M, and I. I know exactly how good the very best are. They're most likely not cheating. Players just aren't nearly as good as they think they are.

I can agree with the known camping spots.  On one of the FPS that I played in the past there was one area that was bad for campers.  I hit that area with explosives and time I could and didn't see a friendly tag there.  Was accused of hacking since I killed the same guy in the hidey hole 8 times.

I have Modern Warfare on 360 PS3 and Wii, Xbox is by far the best!

Definitely. It was very annoying running a server with 50 people in it constantly, and when someone gets killed they yell "hacker!" Naturally, you have to switch to spec to spec said 'hacker' and they end up being one of the worst people in the game, and the guy who called it is just some kid. We have had lots of times where the hackers run a block on our RCON servers so we can't kick them...let me say, thank god for PB Power points. Though, many of the members got a kick out of annoying the aimbotters while we couldn't get rid of them. One of the few times we allow nade switching. Too bad it's 'moderated' by VAC now.

Nothing compares to Starsiege Tribes, probably the best online shooter there was.

I find it funny when i get accused of hacks on PS3, in Word at War, i got 68 kills 2 deaths in capture the flag, using a thompson with drum.  Like there entire team was cussing me out for hacks rofl.  Im doing ok with new COD, i do not know all the maps yet like the old COD's, so far best streak on modern warfare 2 is 37 kills 2 deaths in a team death match

I really don't get the point of the PS3, most (90% of the people I talk to) play XBox 360 and use XBox Live, the concept of having a console you can't play with your real life friends on is alien to me... that's the only point of having a console I thought

OK lets see, PS3 = free internet, better graphics, better quality, more memory, ok im sorry no halo (which i think is a horrible game btw)oh and it has blue ray, which they will be making all DVDs with soon, so while you go spend 200 bucks on a blue ray DVD player, i have one

I really don't care about graphics, I can easily get better graphics on my PC than any of the consoles, as well as everything you mentioned

The nice thing about consoles is that it's a cheap alternative for people without the time money or know how to build a decent computer. Thus the point would be that everyone has a common platform to play on. Which makes the XBox 360 the obvious choice for consoles as it's the most popular.

Just IMO though I don't like consoles, though I kind of want an XBox to play CoD and whatnot now
