Bottomline is this OZ, agree or not - on
the PC, we have no leverage in the market - or maybe severely diminished leverage. Were a niche product and market with cheaper alternatives to compete against with lower development overheads.

As much as you will hate to hear this, there is a mildly-strategic element to call of duty if you play with your friends.  My friends and I have formed a "clan" that just plays against random people in matchmaking using various tactics and techniques that the military uses in real life.  

Hmmm, i can see it now. Real life tactics in Afganistan:

marine 1: Hey man, we have a patrol in 40 mins what do you recomend we load out with?

Marine 2: Well usualy i would take the extra health perk on this type of mission but i think its going to be safe so you should take the stopping power perk and steady aim perk.

Marine 1: yeah, good call, i ws thinking of taking the increase stamina perk if we had to run, but maybe you are right.


Obviously I'm just being a dork here. I'm sure you have fun and are good at your tactics but there is nothing realistic about this game at all, imo. Except maybe the penetration through walls aspect, that is actualy quite good.

*sigh* watching those videos really make me miss Tribes.  The best times I've had was playing with my brother and friend and we'd take our heavies and ski to the other base and take over the bunker.  We'd place ammo stations inside, place turrets all around and just sit in there and laugh.

 Ive played every COD game made. MOH too.I dont play console as I cant do FPS on a console.Its unnatural to me. On the COD4 servers Ive been on there is a big "Boycott MW2" going on. To the extent that the server is spamming you with this slogan. Fine,its their server and their right.
 What they fail to realize is that PC vers never hold up to console numbers.Sales wise,its not even close. What they ARE doing is giving these programmers who work their tulips off to create a game for a PC,with all the variables involved,even more reason to just drop the PC market all together. Cost wise,it would be a prudent move. It would bite them in the bellybutton down the road as PC gamers have a long memory. Just look at how many hate EA for killing AW.
 While I like the dedicated servers in previous game,boycotting the PC ver is,to me,cutting off your nose to spite your face.

If the game was realistic, you'd sit in front of your console for days on end doing absolutely nothing by arguing with your buddy who you'd rather stick it to, beyonce or j-lo.. followed by 10 hours of vehicle repairs.

It's a false positive that's being reported from users of Avira.  So far, that's been the only anti-virus program that has detected a trojan virus in relation to MW2 and will be fixed in the next daily Avira update (should be tomorrow).  I loved how the people started to cry how the sky is falling and even making up bullcrap to show how evil and irresponsible IW is.  I swear, the MW2 community is filled with nothing more than limp wrists that make our resident limp wrists seem masculine in comparison.

  nice one Indy. When i was in the TA cadets the most fun i had off exercise was gambling for ciggys over the ping-pong table. I remember there was also alot of time spent making your bed, then having it ripped apart, re-making your bed then being hit round the head with your emss can for not cleaning it correctly.

but really, there are alot more realistic 'combat' games. It's not a 'military lifestyle' game, it's a combat game and as combat games go it's set firmly in the arcade section.

Well MW2 IMHO sucks.  Not the game itself, but the stupid Steam thing.  I have to buy 2 versions of the game so both my kids can play at the same time on PC's.  WTF !!!!!!!!!

Well i was having fun untill today, logged in and it said i had to BUY the game lol i got the game off of GameZone Digital Download, Download went great, put the game on disk, entered the key Code Game said valid key accepeted, been playing for a few days and now this its says  InValid Keycode thru Steam already activated by another member, even thou ive been playing it THRU Steam for days, WTF!!!.... Ive emailed Steam, no answer yet and i can almost hear there responce already.

If you paid for it, get your money back.  you will NOT get a response from Steam.  According to the forums, like 60,000 keycodes were disabled due to the retailers not having a license to sell them.

Yea i called my CC company evidently they refunded me my money soooooooooooooo i guess GameZone was one of them, normally i would just go buy the game at a store but have been feeling Ill as of late, so i figured id try a digital download, guess ill be going to the store to buy a real copy of it, There going to end up killing this game with all the BS you have to go thru just to play
