My wife and daughter both enjoy shooting, and don't have any of the problems shown. Rifles, shotguns, handguns, and bows.
My wife is also quite handy at throwing knives and tomahawks, and even does it in competition. She can cut a playing card in half at 25 feet or so, and I've even seen her cut the wick off of a burning candle at that range at night (tomahawk, with the candle held against the backstop horizontally). One time she substituted the card with a wallet-sized photo of me. I'm not sure why.
Sometimes I question the wisdom of teaching her that.
BTW, she's also pretty dangerous with a frying pan.
