My wife almost shot a hole in my car when she tried the Magnum 357 the first time. Very light trigger I admit but it was scary! Luckily she didnt blow anyones toes off.

I've always loved the looks of 99% of Sig Sauer's firearms. The Mosquito is my "baby step" into the SA/DA world as far as what I own goes. It's 90% the size of a P226, and once tax time rolls around, I plan on getting a full size. Undecided on what I want just yet though. Would like to stay with a .45, but the Blackwater is just so sexy. AFAIK it only comes in 9mm.

I love the snot out of my XD, it's a horse. But the Sig's are so much more pleasing to the eye  :aok

I failed to explain the sights the first time my girlfriend shot the gun, I just assumed everyone knew.  She got a couple shots off into the ceiling before I realized how bad her aim was off.  :uhoh  Whoops, my bad.

Why is there a scope on that shotgun?

Many people use shotguns for hunting deer in areas where rifles aren't allowed.

Specialized shotguns for deer hunting often have rifled barrels and scopes.

My wife and daughter both enjoy shooting, and don't have any of the problems shown.  Rifles, shotguns, handguns, and bows.

My wife is also quite handy at throwing knives and tomahawks, and even does it in competition.  She can cut a playing card in half at 25 feet or so, and I've even seen her cut the wick off of a burning candle at that range at night (tomahawk, with the candle held against the backstop horizontally).  One time she substituted the card with a wallet-sized photo of me.  I'm not sure why.

Sometimes I question the wisdom of teaching her that.

BTW, she's also pretty dangerous with a frying pan.

But yeah, I'm not a big fan of these types of videos. These are not toys. And that one girl who got nailed in the face with a scope is gonna have a scar for the rest of her life.

Maybe this should be re-titled, "Why any chick cool enough to try firearms should pick friends willing to teach her proper technique instead of letting her get hurt."
