How about they beef up the airfields and vehicle Fields with anti tank guns, all they have are those maned ack guns that are a waste of time even trying to shoot accurately with them, there worthless.

You will have to practice more then. I find them very usefull & quite deadly once you know how.

I enjoy breaking out of a good spawncamp. If all else fails drop a few eggs to even things up. Not sure why something so senseless is so much fun.

Or, you know, you could keyhole using the buildings of your own base for cover to ambush incoming GVs, or even find a nice barn or what-have-you along the likely route of approach (i.e. a beeline from the nearest enemy Vbase) and play the game instead of griefing. If you really view ground vehicles as a mere accessory to the "real" game of yank-n-bank, (to keep hangars from being downed,) then just learn to dive-bomb and scare up a rear gunner on the voice chat.

Griefing? lol.

There are two basic types of "spawn camping".  There is the "spawn battle" which happens thanks to most maps having spawns right on top of each other.  So if I'm sitting on my spawn, and you're sitting on yours and we're 1.5k apart shooting at each other then we're both lame campers and it's no harm no foul.  Then there is the "you attacked our base we pushed you all the way back to your spawn and you aren't smart enough to quit" spawn camp.  Face it if you are getting vulched/camped then you have basically already lost the battle, in the real world you would be dead and we would be pillaging your homes and raping your sheep.

If you guys can't grasp this, or have some nervous tick that causes you to click the spawn button over and over again then maybe HTC could implement some sort of system where if (X) number of vehicles dies within a given time (Y) within (Z) yards of the spawn then an arena message comes up declaring that spawn inactive for 30 minutes.  Then all the campers will land and go elsewhere and in 30 minutes you can attempt your attack again.

Tec good post and makes sense, Here's a thought can hi-tech code it to where the spawns are random places, IE 4 or 5 places coded in to where you spawn in somewhere close to the VH spawn points you see on your clipboard map but not right at the point of the arrow, say within 2k of the spawn point ? that would eliminate knowing exactly where there going to spawn, i mean Ive heard people saying, follow me to the spawn i know right where they spawn in at will camp it..... you make it random spawn-in points that would greatly reduce it by far, If your a great GV'er you still will be, if you rely on camping for score then you might suffer with the random spawn points, just a thought.

That is the way it works now, but the spawn area could be increased a bit IMO.  I think having the gv spawns totally random would be hard to do though, and might have been the reason a while back that people were having trouble with getting spawned in on top of bushes/trees etc.

Yep.  I can't remember the last time I just drove to a spawn to wait.  Granted, I did back in the day, but it's not really that fun.  Same as camping a hanger for kills.  Granted, I did that back in the day, but unless you're attempting to take the base, it's just a kill/death thing at that point.  You WILL die eventually.  And do nothing but piss the opponent off in the process.  Most likely getting a bomb on the head, or multiples upping at the same time (thus creating teamwork between a few peeps) and having several pissed off tigers coming at you from multiple angles

Some of my favorite battles are the "spawn battles".  Very fun when equally matched (unless dr7 or rondar is among the opposition  :salute).  Don't get me wrong, it's fun as hell to push the opponent back to their spawn, then kill them as long as they are willing to up, but at that point it gets kind of boring.

FWIW

As for you who cry about getting camped, well if you stop upping we'll stop shooting your dumb arse.  Would you guys prefer if we just sat in the tower drinking coffee and reading nudie magazines while you roll in on our base? (That was rhetorical, because I know that's what you tards would prefer.)

Spawn Camping, I and many fellow GVers CANT STAND IT! A bunch of People sitting in the middle of no-
where waiting for tanks to magically appear. Lets face it, totally unrealistic. I think we should make a system
or rule that we can in force to prevent it. If u have any ideas I can put on the wishlist, or u just want to argue
with me, please respond

If I camp a spawn.... the campee still has the upper hand. I have yet to be able to get those GVs off the ground.

Agreed on that- the maps are a wee bit too flat in places.

HAHAHAHA so you're only "camping" because you  launched a successful counter-offensive, eh? So why don't you get a friendly to come drop troops and actually, you know, take the base? Yeah, right. People spawn or hangar camping while shouting NO U WE'RE WINNING DA WAR are obviously lying.

BUT- you raise a good point. The constant problem with Aces High is that the game is played, quite often, like a game (go figure,) and yet it provides a "war" simulation. In games there are rules, in war there are none beyond "win by any means possible." If six P-47s show up over an enemy airfield, drop eggs on the hangars, and hover over the field to own it, is that a dirty dirty spawncamp, or an aggressive CAP to lock down the field while they wait for a troop drop and/or ground assault? This is the same issue that comes up with cherry picking/interrupting 1v1s, head-ons, etc.

Though IMO it's fairly easy to tell if somebody's locking down a base in preparation for taking it with troops as opposed to farming pelts.
