Careful with those 200 announcements! If it is done too few times for too long, people can take advantage of it and direct a counter-attack to a fake mission and then profit from the enemy's response against an nonexistent foe to lighten the load on other sectors. Hence purposefully giving the traitor's side a more advantageous temporary strategic position.

This is one possible side effect of announcing missions on 200 in the short term. In the long term, calling out and ALERT message on the country channel will be in vain because no one will believe it anymore for those that don't listen to 200; and there is a lot of them thankfully (unless the dar bar is up at its fullest of course).

Any NOE mission of 10 or more should be called out by default. There is a difference between having fun and wanting to stomp out the opposition and 10 is more than enough to make any basetake challenging.
IMO opinion, these massive NOE capture base takes do nothing for the game but destroy it. Sure its fun to work as a team and achieve some sort of victory, but lately too many ppl are in the mode to race for resetting the map. You would think that these guys would capture some undefended territory and hopefully stir things up defending etc.., but its always the same ol story. NOE with 50 guys, capture undefended field, rinse-repeat, base flashes..same guys NOE at another field.
That really needs to go here, whether HTC puts a max on the mission planner or the missions get called out when it is an overwhelming advantage.

The mission was doomed anyhow with our CV right at the port. I don't think the mission planners realized that until they got there.  :P We got a good laugh out of that  :lol

I dont understand what you did??  You planned a mission and then announced it on ch 200 so people would up and defend?  or you saw a countrymate's mission in progress and announced it to ch 200??

Either way why would it merit a posting on the bbs?  You come across like a petulant 15 yo that no one wants to play with so they keep going "look at me...look at me!!!"

Who are you trying to impress with this type of post dude?

This coming from the leader of the biggest undefended base taking squad in the game.. no surprise you don't see the humor in it.

From what I've seen over the past few months...  Devil's Rejects are #1 in that category bar none.  Jokers Jokers a close second.

NOE missions deserve to be called out. They really ruin the game imo.

High alt strat missions should be called out by flight lead once they are comfortable with alt and escort. But give enough warning for a chance to be intercepted b4 target.
damn right :aok

TV base

I can see why nobody wanted to defend it. Sitcoms and soap operas being what they are.

I give junkyII's actions a fail. If others could guess where the mission was going based on radio chatter on 200, then fine. But going "hey, a bunch of 110's are hitting 53, just letting you know" is a little sad IMO. If you wana start a fight, drag some friends to a base and start shooting at uppers. Others will be drawn by the dar-bar, I guarentee.

At times it is not hard to start a fight, I don't see the reason to call one's own side missions out on 200.
