well at any given time the population in those servers is ussualy never higher than 5 or 10, although more people that that enjoy them the op is more or less correct [/list]

There are 30 in Mid right now and its late, so I'd say there was easy 50 tonight.  The point is the other arenas don't hurt the bandwidth or over load the servers so whether or not they are used doesn't effect the other arenas. It's like saying lets throw away the back door from the car, after all we never use them

Wow, amazing number of sychophants in here.

The posts about knowing what the customer wants are germane, but not sure the conclusions are valid.

HT wants fighters doing ACM. Some folks enjoy more strategic endeavors, ones that make the fights a little more varied. Consider:

Base flashing. Did not come from player community. Prior to base flashing it was fun to try and react fast enough to NOE attack. NOE's got harder and GV captures got very hard with that change.

Unporkable fuel. Was requested by fighter types. Made field defense less important.

Losing supply logistics and zone base system. So much for interdiction missions, even though it only slightly inconvenienced fighter ops.

No idea what the "arena balancing" limits do. Just an annoyance, no effect on hordes.

Latest is the huge radar circles. Yeah, bombers were trying to avoid fighter intercepts. Silly bombers. NOE is virtually impossible now.

Any GV drivers concerned about the damage model?

    etc.

Been a flight sim customer 21 years now. Kesmai had similar problems. Right down to the unused WWI arena.

If everybody is flying fighter CAP, it just gets boring.

He just explained how he DOES have experience running a business, a subscription-based internet business no less, and you accuse him of the exact opposite.  How insulting it must be for the OP to have to read on here what you said, you who didn't even read what he wrote.

Maybe you should follow your own advice and re read the wording of my post again before handing me out tips.

Good coments, even the critical ones that were posted.
I want to make myself clear, I enjoy the produst, especially with my squadmates whom I have known for over 5 years. However a lack of new customers detracts from the gameplay. Lets be fair, most of us play in the Late War Arenas. The product plays much better when more people are on. When one arena is choked to only 100 players and the second Late War Arena has 30 or so, the game play bites. The answer is to get new paying customers to fill the second arena or dont choke them when all the players online can easily play on one.

Right now where I would expect people who play online games use the interent to find new venues. Unless you have knowledge that there is a game called "Aces High" you will not find it. As it stands right now, today there are roughly 40 search terms in search engines where you would expect to learn about Aces High. Right now Aces High rates at 2% where it should easily rate at 70%. The reason is an old antiquated website. The solution is to purchase a template, a good one should not cost more then 100.00 and let one of the staff spend two and a half days putting the site together. It would make a huge difference from what you see today. Instead of this early 80's frames style site they present now. It would take a month or two to see the results, but I am confident there would be more players. You cant sell a Mercedes when you yourself drive a Yugo.

The second thrust of my original post was that I send out thousands of purchase verifications to my clients, not only is it a reciept, but a thank you for spending your hard earned money with my business. Its just rude for HiTech not to do that. It would only take a minute to automaticaly enable that process and it would certainly would not cost anything.

Show one MMO company that sends any of their customers a reciept after billing.  It's just not done in this industry as there is no need for it and the return is very small that it's basically not worth it.   In all the customer surveys I've done to gauge customer satisfaction with our game, not one customer in any of our surveys listed not receiving a reciept or other acknowledgement of payment as a negative with their customer service experience.

    Oy.

Anyone remember Badger and his marketing genius?  Feeling unloved and his advice
unheeded he tossed his AH account out the window and went and joined up with
    the "Target:Where?" group.

Until he realized only a couple of years into it that "Target:Where?"  was going
    absolutely "No:Where!"

Badger was brilliant. Just as Willy928 is.

Not criticizing here, but from my experience and owning my own business in the search marketing industry, I've kinda wondered why HTC hasnt implemented search marketing.. Maybe HTC has tried it and it didnt work? Dunno, but I personally think that would be a great way to increase the overall volume of customers..

That's actually not true.  I have a small business and I rank in the top 3 searches for my type of business on Google, and I don't even have a website.  I pay a company a small amount a month to keep me there.  It has nothing to do w/ the website.  Google, specifically, search results are manipulated, either a company is in the game, or they aren't.

One more, then I will shut up.
Its obvious HiTech is quite content with how they market or not market there business. I know I hit a sore point with the website comment. But why dont you answer these two questions that I originally posed?

Why does HiTech not thank its customers with a receipt? Its a real common western custom, and I didnt know MMO was an industry.

Why when I log on you have one arena choked at 100 and the other arena is open with less then 40 players? Its not a routing issue and its certainly not due to a bunch of people beating down the door. I would think the game is more enjoyable and interesting when more players are competing at once.

Yes I can read and what I didnt see was why a customer didnt have the other two questions answered? A fairly simple request.

If you've really been a paying customer and read the BBS for the past 5 years then you would know the answers to your questions. Since you profess to not know the answers, it calls your ability to read, into question. And with your latest post, it also calls your judgment into question. But feel free to ignore me and post how ever you want.

Since I doubt this will end well for you, here's a little decision chart for you to ponder.

It's actually very uncommon in the Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) segment. Yes, MMO is considered it's own market. Blizzard, CCP, Electronic Arts, Bioware, and MANY other companies participate in this particular market. I can't think of a single MMO that sends receipts.  In fact, a LOT of monthly "auto-pay" bills do not send receipts. My gas bill, water bill, electric bill, none of them send me receipts. The only time I get notices from them is if they somehow didn't get paid or if there is work to be done.

Why when I log on you have one arena choked at 100 and the other arena is open with less then 40 players? Its not a routing issue and its certainly not due to a bunch of people beating down the door. I would think the game is more enjoyable and interesting when more players are competing at once.
This has been answered time and time again on this BBS, including direct responses from Skuzzy and Hitech. Search "Arena Caps". You'll see a ton of hits and Answers, discussions, and years of beating a dead horse.
Here's a link to a post I made in which I quoted 3 of Hitech's answers on the subject :
    http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,292320.msg3725777.html#msg3725777

If you want answers directly from Hitech and company, it'd be better served by e-mailing them, or calling them. Their contact information is not all that hard to find on their webpage. Posting this on their public message board is just asking for trouble, as people ALWAYS are easier to approach with a problem when you take them aside to discuss it (Phone Call / E-mail), instead of yelling at them in a crowded restaraunt (BBS).
