Brown trout fishing from kayak last weekend on an amazing 50+ degree day in December.  :aok

Thinking that was my last until next April/May.    :(

Nice Bug ! :aok

Kicking around getting a boat for the local lake here. I grew up on the lake, and fished it my whole life. Musky, walleye, Bass (LM and SM) Hybrid Stripers and huge channel cats. Got rid of my 18ftr when the little ones were born, but im on the hunt for one now. Not a bad lake, great fishing, not to keen on the 20hp limit on the boat motors, but can understand why.

Seeing this thread up is cruel, just starting to get really cold here in PA, not sure if i can make it until spring. :frown:

Got the call this morning to hit the ice. Unfortunately the children had a Christmas pageant at church.

I thought, "Hey, we'll just go after."

After the program I asked my Mom what she's up to today. Her response was, "I was going to try and con you into hanging the Christmas lights on my house and then put up the tree."

Needless to say, I won't be doing any fishing today.

Next weekend I should have some good pics for this thread though.  :pray

Nice Bug - been in the states over 18 months, still not got to go fishing yet - that said, not much fishing in the desert lol.........on the upside, my dirt bike has seen some major action  :D (and no, I've not broken anything yet)

Hopefully in the New Year I can make my way to the sea and get some bait in the water.

Other than the guy who decided to drill a dozen holes and set up within 15ft of my shack it was a really nice morning.

I would've drilled a hole right next to his tent and gone "hey, don't mind if I try this spot, do ya? Looks fishy."  ;)

That place is always busy this time of year because it's one of the first spots in the area that gets good ice on it.  There's Bass, Northern Pike, Sunfish, Perch and Crappies in there.  Generally I jig for the panfish and put out a couple tipups for the Bass/Northerns.
