Hey Rich , I had no idea . It was like , you know how you just stumble onto something ? That's how I found out crappie would hit these plug's , bass fishing . There not like a regular plug really and the only place you can get them is in town here where they make them . Trying to get them to sponsor me next year in the crappie master here in MS next year .
I will take pic's as I go tomarrow and post them then I get in .
EDIT: I want a GoPro Camera ! cry cry
Yeah Ive been to lakes where weve drowned minnows for days, "not my idea", and finnaly I said "frack it" and pulled out my trolling gear. Yellow bird planers, small slide divers, flat lines, even downriggers, and caught big crappie by the bucket using just those kinda plugs. I knew the fish were there, knew we had high pressure, but we had to give them something that was worth the swim for them. Often I would see big crappies suspened off of brush piles in a little deeer water. The thing is you "have to cover ground". Either by casting plugs or better yet trolling. Crappies can be every bit as aggressive as Bass.
Probably the only thing I'd fish actual bait with is catfish, or perch down at LM. Everything else I catch is on plastic.
