I don't worry about fair in any form. Maybe that's why I don't worry about what others snobbishly view as dweeb behavior. I know at any point in time there is going to be some truly stupid argument on 200 culminating in "let's go DA", and that dweeb behavior is to be expected between 6 p.m. til 9 p.m. when the kids are kicked off the computers.

Anyone who really wants fair is flying AvA or making up funny rules for 1v1 in the DA.

CAP1- Sorry if I came across like that I didn't mean it that way.  I would've been perturbed too.  I was just commenting on the people who are in the middle of a furball or near an enemy field getting uptight when another bandit comes along and attacks them, or they expect everyone to just leave 'their' con alone in the middle of the furball.  That part of my post wasn't directed at your comment.

the game evolved into what the obvious majority like. everything changes guys. I understand the OP's point..and his frustration.  That's why I called for a "skilled aces" Arena...for reasons of loss of older vets due to attrition.
there's always gonna be a purist attitude about things you've enjoyed for a long time.  I don't watch TV anymore..commercial tv anyway..for many of the reasons the OP brings up.  it happens.

A "skilled Aces" arena..that was invite only..with inclusion predicated on a mix of longevity/talent...could prevent the loss of many people I see here leaving.  I don't enjoy seeing old timers leave..but I understand trends.

The game is what you make of it.  In other words: If you aren't having fun, and cannot manage to make any fun, then you probably need to move on to other things.  If you get lonely and miss the game you will return, with a slightly evolved view of things, or not.
