I hunt with a 109 F8 and use PB1s on bombers. Attack from above and the side with salvo 6 or 12 and a delay of 0.07 and you will get 1 bomber a pass or 3 if you hit both the wing points from right to left or left to right. It's really effective if used right.

If I'm going buff hunting the only thing I'm taking is my trusty Me110G-2 with AIM-9 Sidewinders. :aok

P-38L is my fave ride for pure intercept runs (don't care for Spits)
P-47D25 is where I've made the most kills though (function of time)
The jug needs time to get in position, but once there, beautiful guns and able to take a hit :aok

I always try to spray a few rounds out at 2.5 or 2k to make it look like I'm a noob attacking from dead six. Try and make them think they are about to get an easy kill. Then once they see the rockets fly there is nothing they can do. Most of the time I can get all three but some times I only get two and have to make a gun run on the last bomber.  :aok

I'm finding i can hit pretty confidently in the A8 from -600, but I can use corsairs in a pinch as well, although the kills aren't as certain.

Looking at the pictures I think I need to work on my deflection shooting some more though. :)

I prefer the Bf 109G-14 with the heavy gun package.  1 30mm and 2 20mm.   Like to do an initial run from head on or from the 2 to 10 high.
