FSO Schedule next 5 months and a new FSO team member
« on: September 25, 2010, 09:35:55 AM »
Gents,

Use this for reference. Admin CM's gave me a general idea of what they wanted. This is not written in stone and is subject to change.
Plan ahead as you see fit.

I left in the Setup CM who is the guy that sets up the event and runs it and the Bouncer who assists him prior to the start and checks uniforms before we roll. It is a good thing to know who they are. :)

Welcome AKBmzawy to the FSO team.  :aok

I called Bmbz and told him congrats and now he can read here too. :salute

Will the schedule posted for the next 5 months also reflect the set-ups also (Europe, Med, Pacific and time frames)?  Thanks.

Not sure I understand your question AKKuya. The FSO month is listed along with the general theater and time frame in bold above.

Is there something else your were looking for?

Somehow I didn't see the boldface with the info about theater and year.  The way I read was just who was in charge and who was the bouncer.  That info kinda stood out more than the rest.  My eyes were :old:

Be sure to announce 2 months ahead of time any FSOs designed to use "no icon" settings, so that it gives us all time to withdraw from that FSO, and sign up again afterward.

LOL So we go 13 months without an Easter Front Setup. That is pathetic.

Last one was January 2010, next one is February 2011. Come on CM's we can do better than that can't we? Instead we get a ton of Pacific's.

What you expect? Hitech always wants america to win. Every image you see on the website is always an allied aircraft shooting down an axis plane. Examples include an I-16 shooting down 109 in the events page, the spit flopping onto a 109 when you log into the game, and oh yeah the 190 getting shot down in the frekin commercial.

I think axis has won a majority of the FSO's since the last eastern front campaign, despite the allies advantages in some, but not all recent FSO's in the past year. Like the last one with the spawns and no fly zones and in June(the normandy one) with the spit 16s traded for spit 9's I believe. This is just my opinion, not saying axis should have a month of advantage, I actually welcome the disadvantage(if you believe there is one) because it makes things interesting. I'm just saying I dont see why it would be a big deal to break the pattern for once. Theres an obvious bias here and its getting boring flying the same battle of britain map half the time.

Let's see....
#1   Neither HiTech, nor HTC has anything really to do with the Special Events.  They do not set them up, they do not run them, etc.  Those are all done by your friendly volunteer CM's who put their hard work and own time into putting the events on.

#2  If you are referring to the ahevents.org website, guess what, it's the same as #1, it's ran by the CM Team as well.

#3  I can't really comment on the Spit v. 109 when you log into the game but as far as the commercial goes, I haven't seen a 190 being shot down as you put it.  I have seen numerous planes being shot at to include a P-51, B-24, etc.

The whole preference of Allied vs. Axis plane sets has been brought up I don't know how many times.  I can tell you from working with some of the CM's in the past that they do try to find an equal balance between both sides by instituting many different variables that they have at their disposal.  If one frame does not look like it was that balanced, they try to take corrective action to ensure both sides have just as much fun as the other.  The only thing I can really tell you though is that you have 3 options.  You can step up and try to become a CM whenever they are looking for new members, you can not take part in what you consider to be biased events, or take part in the events being happy that someone has dedicated a good bit of their time planning and hosting the event for you with them expecting nothing in return.
