Your right, just moving forward & back is not enough. However if you can make it bank you can use part of the gravity to simulate centrifugal forces (given that it's a fully enclosed sim and you can't see the real world).

Yes  and the mind will also be tricked with the correct  inputs  to motor drives. You should also remember you will be  hanging off a  4 point harness in a  racing seat, doing continual rolls and loops even outside loops  and  flying inverted. Not for faint at heart and yes on a  large scale  more g,s produced.

I think that is a wrong link regarding your project. Here's a better one.  G-Force Since that's the only 'G-Force' anyone would experience...

That can actually be done, for example when your braking have the sim bank forward so you would feel that forward motion and then it needs to move back very slow so the occupants would not be able to feel it.

If anyone remembers the '98 WB Con, there was a guy that had a motion simpit (mocked up at a Hellcat) and that is what exactly he did to simulate G forces.  It is also worthy to note that the main guts of the motion pit was a CH Force FX joystick that controlled the motion and would work with any game that had force feedback support.  Forgot the guy's name, was from Alaska and one of the CH distributors up there, think it was Lord Frog or something like that.

That is a good friend of mine, Phil - was an old AF colonel who drove A26's. Was Accu Flight group. Was at my wedding actually. Worked on those simpits when they were temporarily at the Niagra air museum getting AH 2 setup on them. This was in, odd 2003 - had a 109, 51, Hellcat and something else.

I don't know about his "hobby" but his job is keeping you and me safe.
