the vastly superior P-38 and there isn't one P-47 pilot in Aces High that can be considered any competition for even the most inexperienced P-38 pilot.

In fact, the P-47 drivers only have two maneuvers...Dive and run.

A) "It is essentially a high altitude fighter, ideally suited for dive and zoom tactics."
B) "The aircraft is virtually a flying destroyer, having 4 - .5 machine guns in each wing."
C) "The P-47 is far superior to the Kittyhawk for interception of enemy bombers over 22,000ft."
D) "This aircraft is comparable with the P-38 (Lockheed Lightning) and is much easier to manoevre.  However, I would prefer the P-38 to the P-47"[/quote]

Well once again you find evidence to discredit your ridiculous "vastly superior" claim. A)B)C) and D) all sound like high praise to me. One RAF pilot comparing a C or very early D jug, would prefer a comparable aircraft that was much more difficult to manuver...hmmmm Why?

Regardless of this bloke's strange preferences, Jugs destroyed more German aircraft than any other US type, even though 38s were in use before them in the war.

Heinz Bar, a German ace with 221 victories said "we have NO FEAR of them... (P-38s)" No fear of Ack-Ack's vastly superior plane...221 actual victories pffft. What could his opinion mean.

Would you like to join me and we can do our own combat trials?  You can use any of the Jugs and I'll use any of the P-38s and we'll see who comes out on top.  I'm willing to bet, the only time you'll survive is do what I previously mentioned were the only two real maneuvers the P-47 excelled at...diving and running.  :devil

It would be my pleasure to kill you again in a P-47 Ack-Ack, and I am sure the feeling is mutual. I am out to sea this week but will be in MW after next Wed, looking for you for a duel in whatever arena you like :salute.

I don't fly in the MW anymore, lack of decent fights and watching the Satan guys milk run hord undefended bases while avoiding a fight makes for a boring time.  We can schedule our "combat trials" when you get back in for the DA if you like, 1v1 affairs without worry of anyone "crashing the party" so to speak.

Kills come far less easily in jug than any other mid/late war ride. (Most folks who fly the 'M' use it like a ho'ing Lgay with 50's, so I discount it from the comparison)...there's only a few things they do better than other planes--rolling at high speed (for instance, while 'diving away') and the quick snap-roll it can get with its huge rudder and high speed flaps. I could win heap many more fights in some other plane....but the wins wouldn't mean much

It is now the Blacksheep milking hoard, or the whatever TJ is milking when no one is on show. You won't find more than 2-3 Playmates at a time in there these days. Which means lots of milkers coming to my bases to be dispatched. They don't have the organization to roll bases like we used too. Usually the map just gets reset by Skuzzy for some reason or another.

DA is good for me, I won't have to wait so long for you to re-up.
