Metallica sucks.  Their music sucked 29 years ago and it still sucks now.

Has nothing to do with aging. It has to do with metalica treating their fans like crap.

I can't imagine why anyone would still buy anything they produce.

Lol, who cares.  I don't base my musical tastes on if a band is nice to their fans.

Oh man do I love my Claypool!

He did audition for Metallica when they were looking for a new bass player many years ago.  According to Claypool, Metallica didn't like his audition and asked him to leave because they thought he was joking when he started playing The Isley Brothers.

That's fine some don't hold folks responsible for their actions.

There are all kinds....... some still like Jane Fonda even though she probably caused the death of many of our soldiers.

I was just stating why i don't like them. I do care... you don't.... that's fine.

My fav band is Tool and quite frankly, I think their lead singer is a huge salamander.  I would never want to meet the guy, even though I do idolize the band due to their incredible musical talent.

Salamander  :rofl

I listen to all kinds of music from classical to hair bands and everything in between. Note this in no way includes rap which I detest.

In my truck you might hear any of it cranked up if you see me.

This is my favorite band of all times.

Great vocals, Guitar parts are well written, drummer is an absolute genius, bass player is one of the best.
Im yet to hear a bad song out of them in 3 albums. Many call them the Australian Tool.

You want heavy polyrythmic music? Check this instrumental out. Best i have EVER heard. Oh and this is the guitarist playing the drums and guitar on this first song. That is what we call EPIC talent :)  :aok

Check the rest of their music out. They make you wait for the climax of the song. Its like they toy with you. Love it.

I've been a huge fan of Metallica since I was a little kid (even though I was born during the Black Album days and was hooked by the overplayed "Enter Sandman" or "The Unforgiven").  In my teen years when I discovered the Kill Em All through Justice I was really hooked.  For me, Justice is my favorite album, followed by either MoP or Ride.  When I heard about the release of Death Magnetic I was anxious to hear it, but I was disappointed.  I'm still a Metallica fan, but I stick with my pre-90s Metallica when I really want to jam (which is the majority of the songs I attempt to play on guitar).  I want to see them live before they retire jsut to be able to say I saw my favorite band live.

I respect all music except rap. Any moron can make a rap beat on their comp. That takes no talent at all. I despise rap. It is a mockery of real music.
