thats kinda how i felt too...  I think you and I both logged shortly after that.

you and seadog were still on, but i had run out of time...i didn't have much, and what i did have, i spent trying to not turn their tactics into the gangrape of an axis aircraft.......

i was wondering about that......i thought i saw a couple of times i thought you shoulda shot.

there was at least 2x that i came over the top, and should've been able to give myself a shot on you, but getting that slow in that wind was a bad bad idea. it spun me 'round, and threw me off.
the first time, i managed to keep my eye on ya.....and the second time....i think it hit me a third time, and i lost ya. next time i saw ya(as i ws asking that approchign friendly to stay out of the fight) was when you were on my six, removing parts of my airplane.  :aok

i didn't blast em at all.

what i saw was them hanging a couple miles off of the coast....catching the axis doods whilst still accelerating, or climbing. it didn't appear as if they were letting them get to fighting speed.
i actually backed off, as i wasn't gonna make it a 3-1.......we;ll see,,,,,i'm still keeping an open mind....just was sayin what i saw....

I got killed over and over Tuesday night because I kept upping from a CV that had Axis birds airborne just a couple of miles away. It wasn't the Axis pilots at fault for killing me over and over. It was my fault, I had little time to spare and didn't want to up from another location because I just wanted to fight. I was easy pickings and I don't blame them at all for taking advantage of it. There's nothing wrong with caring about the kill more than the fight. There's nothing wrong with caring about the fight more than the kill. However if you care more about the fight and lose... It's not the other guys fault and caring about the fight more than the kill doesn't make you superior to the guy that wants to kill you. It's a game based on WWII air combat. NEWS BREAK!!! There was very few good fights in WWII aerial combat. The majority of the kills were because somebody bounced a guy who didn't see them or somebody made a mistake and the other guy took advantage of it.

I think most of you guys mean well and want a good arena where you can have fun and enjoy the game. Your positive attitudes are a great thing. However don't overdo this attitude that you're a better person because you place value on the fight itself over winning the fight. If there's no winner there was no fight. If there's no fight there's no winner. The vast majority of the time if you lose you made a mistake, you were not paying attention, you made a bad decision, or you simply got outflown. That doesn't make the guy that won the fight evil or less of a person than you. One of the things I dislike most about the Main Arenas is the amount of complaining people do when they get shot down. If dweeby behavior shot you down then your flying isn't up to par with dweeby behavior. I got my clock cleaned over and over the other night I was out numbered at times low on energy and alt because I'd just taken off and I died over and over. I didn't get on 200 and complain or call out anybody's tactics as dweeby or underhanded. Because each of my deaths were my own fault. There's a big difference in this arena compared to most. It's called historically limited planesets. Usually both sides have a distinct advantage and disadvantage. People should use your advantage against the other guy's disadvantage. Don't be afraid to embrace the kill, it's the icing on the cake to the fight you enjoy so much. Above all don't make this arena one where winning the fight is something to be frowned upon. This isn't a mamasboy soccer league where there's no score and everybody goes out for ice cream after because both teams won. It's competition and it's okay to win.   :aok

what i was getting at, is that we like the fight. i know you do too, as you kilt me many times diving into situations you shouldn't have. i got you a couple of times the same way. it's the fight....not the kill.

last night, i only had one fight in the time i had. it was against grumpy. he kilt me, but that was irrelevent, as the fight itself was a blast(pun intended).

us hypocrites(  :D ) have been in that situation before, where we'd get people anxious to fight us, and merging with little speed and even less alt. we backed off. did this more than once. that was in mw and lw. a few of us here in ava have done that too.
last night, they were killin grumpy over nd over...and when it was mentioned, they landed their kills and logged.

i don't care that i die a horrible cartoon death. all i care about is that i'm allowed to have a fun fight with you in the process. that's all i'm trying to get at.

as said before....i'm still not blasting them, nor will i berate them on open channel. i will do my best to try to help them assimilate into this playground that you guys work so dam hard to give to the rest of us. i don't want to chase people away, but rather i'd LOVE to bring more fun fights into the arena. that is why i gave them a clean slate in my mind when i read the "new intelligence" thread.
 i still will.

i'm actually a pretty nice guy, although i do come off as a sarcastic dickhead sometimes.  :D :aok

CAP a few years ago in this arena we had one side that complained about how the other flew and fought. Side two also complained about how side one flew and fought. The best fighting was on chnl 200 and this forum. The net result was an empty arena broken friendships and canceled AH accounts. Just my opinion but the complaining about another guys flying is worse for the arena than the actual dweeby flying. I'd hate to see that happen again when just when people are starting to have fun and numbers are building again. Although a couple of you are getting along too well and I'm thinking you have this place confused with match.com  :D

Just so you know I like the kill. I couldn't care less how good the fight was if I lost it. I'm not going to feel bad if I kill you and failed to warn you or follow any preset rules you happen to be carrying in your head. I'll <S> you should I win or lose after every fight unless you were in a Spitfire. I just can't salute those guys. Just remember though if my 52 year old eyes and refelxes shot you down... You really screwed up and calling me a dweeb makes you look like a dweebette.  ;)
