No In-And-Out here.
WE do have Five guys. They are new to the area. I tried them once. They were pretty good, but paying $12 for a cheeseburger and fries isn't exactly my cup of tea. They were good, but not $12 worth of good.
There is a single restaurant here called the Big Bear Grill and they make THE BEST BURGER I've ever had. Hands down. A close second is at a place called the 54th Street Grill. I am a bit of a purist when it comes to a burger. Don't get me wrong, I like stuff on it.. you know the usual.. lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. I'm not a big fan of sauces as I like to actually enjoy the taste of the beef, cheese, and bacon rather than have it masked in some kind of ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce and (dare I mention it?) MAYO... but I do like a bit of sauce every once in a while... but this whole LOADED DOWN thing going on with burgers to me is flat out wrong. A burger wasn't meant to have all kinds of crud piled on to it... but everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, so if you like that sort of thing then more power to you.
Yes I'll admit it.. I'm a fast food junkie. As a kid we had little more than fast food to eat and surprisingly enough none of us turned out obese or unhealthy. OK I have recently put on a bit of a 'gut' but I blame a lot of this on being out of work, and from quitting smoking 19 months ago. I'm still far from obese though. 5'10/230lbs... I've actually lost about 10 months the last month or so.
There is a Mexican restaurant right down the street from my house, and they have a "Philly Cheesesteak Burrito" that is TO DIE FOR! Just melt-in-your-mouth awesomeness!
