Actually, I just avoid talking to people who turn into a psycho at the moment of a rather docile suggestion.  Someone who so aggressively starts touting there experience usually is compensating to cover up a lie (especially when they can't spell the field they are in).  Anyway, I'm done with you, no reason to get on Skuzzy's bad side because of your reaction.

LOL yeah okay.. Again your no response answer has been noted.

This just happened in a span of within the last 1 hour... i was booted out... and when i restarted the game the arena was capped... twice! :cry :cry :cry i have gotten used to getting disconnected due to caps... so with the second one... i was in a bomb run with 7 kills at a98 in a20*had two 2 hit wonders*... and diving down.. i get capped!! WTF?    is Hitech intention really to destroy the game and get less people interested in the game? cos the game had almost 200 players and the cap just filtered those numbers...to 147... and then cap again at 147/100.. i have checked to see if the numbers grew in other arenas...IT DIDN'T! people just stopped playing altogether! i would like to congratulate Hitech for their magnificent game plan for thining out their ever supportive gamers. Really... get over the hording bit... people still horde in cap arenas...  it really makes no sense to cap people's fun..YES.. THATS WHAT YOU ARE DOING!! WAKE UP :O

Did you send them scotch?  I did, and now, I never get booted, Skuzzy actually apologized the one time he mixed up my session ID with someone else's and inadvertently triggered those darned exceptions on my computer, and not long ago I got the email with the instructions for how to get into the capped out arenas via the beta code.  If you haven't yet done so, I would - just make sure you send the good stuff when you do.

Blame the computer? Blame the connection? WRONG. There is nothing wrong with my connection and nothign wrong with my computer. I have been a software engineer for more then 15 years. Instead I will put the blame right where it belongs. THE PROGRAMMER! When you receive unhandled exceptions there is no one else to blame. I've been programming software for the finiancial sector for years and believe me, if my release code had these kind of errors I would have been fired years ago.

Now smart guy, lets hear how I am wrong and how I know nothing. Lets hear your infinite wisdom in an area you know nothing about. You don't get 61,296 posts in your Technical Support forumn because nothing is wrong.

The game is great and getting better with updates, but the split just plain sucks and always will no matter how you cut it. The sense of community is fragmented, and with it, my interest in the game.

I'm interested to know just how many people dislike the split. HTC should post an in-game poll, as they have with prospective planes, and see what side of the fence the community sits.

There has to other options. Splitting the community up is not cutting it.

I don't have a problem with the updates or the game.  I would disagree that the split has fragmented the community.  I find Titanic Tuesday to be the most discouraging time to fly.  The conversation is not nearly what it is when the two LW arenas are going.  Folks don't seem nearly as pleasant and it is much more horde v few.  Tonight in Blue was so much better then Tuesday it's not even close.

Base taking wasn't an issue either night.  How people played and interacted was.  That's how the community gets stronger.   Although I did have some guy grumbling that I switched sides, and making sure I knew he didn't like side switchers! :)

I also dislike Titanic Tuesday. It's nothing but furball central. Makes me want to slit my wrist with a spoon

Where did you see a furball?  There as a horde v horde that moved back and forth that was not a furball, but a gang bang by whichever side had numbers at the moment.  Nothing but BnZ birds diving in on anyone engaged in a fight down low.  It wasn't even remotely a decent fight.

Upped elsewhere to try and intercept a 30K B17 raid that went deep.  More power to em for that.  The Mustang escorts looked good, but it was the 262 escorts that kinda killed the moment.  I hadn't been that high in AH since the DGS scenario.  4 51s decided I was a problem and bounced me with a blazing HO attack which I ducked.  Finally managed to escape that mess after another nose on shot gave me a pilot wound.  down to the deck I go where one of the Mustangs ended up and I killed his bird.

When old Soulyss gets discouraged at the game play, I start to worry as he's about as laid back and easy going as anyone in the game.  He was fed up last night with the game play finally logging out of frustration.

Cool. Half the players dislike Titanic Tuesday because it's pointless furballs only, the other half dislikes it, because it's just landgrabbing hordes...  :lol

You would think that as many arenas as this game has everyone would be happy. But nooooooo. Everybody wants to pack into one arena and then complain about how much it sucks. But put a cap on it and not allow them in and they hit the roof. If this game gave me as much grief as some on here, I just wouldn't play it. Simple as that.

Ultimately it does not matter. HiTech's rules, HiTech's house. HTC does listen to well thought out, logical, educated ideas by players about possible ways to make the game better.

Some ideas are tried. Some work, some don't.

The ultimate evidence is HTC's wallet.

Period.

to the best of my knowledge, arena caps will not kick a player out of an arena, but rather only prevent one from entering an arena that is capped.

thus, you may want to take a look at your end.

Correct. The caps do not have any influence on the arena, or players in that arena, at all. It's not even the game server itself. It's just a doorman that will tell you which doors you are allowed to go through. Once you are in, he has no more control over you.

ask other people playing in australia if that happens...

OK.  I am in Australia.  It doesn't happen.  It has never happened.  I have a bunch of friends that also play from Australia.  Quick straw poll shows that it doesn't happen to them either.

You have a problem.  Not HTC and not Australia.
