P51s were the most widely used plane in Korea iirc... but iirc also that the North Koreans didnt use any prop planes but just the Russian Migs... And from battling in 262s i know for a fact that the Mig15 and the F86 wont be blackouts all the time. (no, i havent just fought high Gs in 262s just in jet week...)
Most F86s aces had more kills on LAs then any other plane if the stuff I read in Korea was right :aok

From the link I posted with the chronological events of the Korean air war.

Hmm...

According to the Gordon L. Rottman's Korean War order of battle, Korean Peoples Air Force's OOB in the beginning of the war consisted of:

1st Assault Aviation Regiment 93x Il-10

1st Fighter Aviation Regiment 79x Yak-9P

1st Combined Aviation Regiment  40-50 trainers, transport, liason etc.

People's Air force did have other combat aircraft but it is my understanding that the two former units primarily engaged in combat operations during the first couple months (when talking about prop planes).

Anyway, communist day time prop-job operations became practically non-existant in just couple of months into the war. After that, the communist side operations were practically day time Migs and night harrasment with lesser types with couple exceptions.

Agreed though it does appear that North Korea were still using or at least had in their inventory prop planes.  On May 5, 1951 the USN and USAF put in claims of 38 destroyed North Korean planes (mix of Yak-9s, IL-10s and at least one La-5) at Sinuiju.  But I would venture to say, at least in this stage of the Korean War, North Korean forces had pretty much taken a back seat in the war with China replacing them as the primary communist forces in the war.

I voted "Not interested" for the WWI poll. If there were a similar poll for a Korean War Arena, I would vote "Yes please".

I do not remember it, in AW3 in particular.

Think it was a short-lived thing they did prior to the FR "Korea 51" scenario to prep folks for the event. I was GL of a Sabre group in that one so I remember that happened.

Jets were fun. I liked the differences between the F-86 and Mig-15. Made for some good fights. Took a while getting the flap/brake/power thing down. Problem is we don't have those birds here. Seems to me that would equal a lot of work for HTC for what would be for a small arena's worth of use. We gots bigger fish to fry plugging up a few more holes in the WW2 planeset before we start to fast forward into a whole 'nother war IMO. Be a nice thing to have when we run out of ideas here.

Question for Hitech if he would care to answer. Is the F-86 in warbirds yours or did it come after your time?
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

To this day I wonder what would have happened if Truman would have left MacArthur in command.  I cant help but think it would have been a better outcome for the entire Korean peninsula.  I just don't know....

To this day I wonder what would have happened if Truman would have left MacArthur in command.

It most like would have resulted in a general war between the Chinese/Soviet Union and UN forces, which would have immediately spiraled out of control into World War III and possible atomic weapon exchanges between the US and Soviet Union.
