It was "okay"

Much as I like the Ta152 as a subject in AH videos, this one was mostly killshots, not much fighting or manuvering.... Several times you just see the hits and not the results because the enemy has flown past the screen, but you keep going.

The one time it looks like you're actually going to manuver at the very end with the P-38, the video ends!

But I suppose that's just personal taste in what folks want to see in these videos.

I liked it. Like the gun camera to help me sort out proper lead.

Well thanks I guess. This is all kill shots but it wasn't suppose to be anything other than that.

A couple of the kill shots were real fights, one a 2 min 30 second one which would have left about 30 seconds to fill with other stuff. Kinda why I did not go that direction. Also there is a couple of things I want before I put a good fight on film and that would be track IR because the snap just looks awful to me. Also sony vegas because windows free video maker just does not have as many options.

Oh when I hit them and they fly off the screen it's implied they die.

Fun fact the 38 killed me in the end  :salute

Junky, you pull this wing-over, roll-over type of manuver at 2:25 or so, and another similar at 3:40 or so. Most times I try something like that I end up in a flat spin or tail spin.

Can you give a little description of how you pull that off? I have a tendency to want to chop throttle when I do that.

- what airspeedwere you?
- what controls (i.e. full right rudder, nose down, rolling into the target)?
- How do you get that stall-in-place side-slip going without departing?

Thanks!

I don't know how JunkyII pulls his wing over but I stay full throttle and treat it similar to a hammerhead. But then again I always pull over to the right.  Very nice move on junkys part

Krusty, that is like a hammerhead (I think someone said that before me ;) ) I'd say near stall point you kick rudder. That is what I do (although I die doing that a lot, so don't take it from me).

Like Sukov, I always stall to the right or atleast try to, It feels more stable and you can control your nose better with throttle work.

When I hit the top of my vertical move I actually cross control, full left rudder and pushing my stick forward to the right as much as I can to bring the nose around quick but not too fast where it sends me into the stall you talk about.

Ill look at the film for airspeed and get back to you. :salute

EDIT: I don't know if you will believe me but the move was started at 50MPH. Im a "fly by the seat of my pants" type guy, I could never explain the stuff I do like the trainers can.

I think I know what you're describing, I just haven't actually experienced it in the 152. Believe it or not, it's a move I've used often enough on the I-16 and C2!

Thanks!
