Get well oakranger, hope to see you soon. Only one advice Try to have in your lunch ALWAYS (especially in salads) OLIVE OIL. I know that is not included in your cuisine but the best medicine for the heart is olive oil.

Get well Ranger. You are very lucky. I got a call today and it's sounds like the same thing happened to one of my best friends this morning as he was getting ready for work. He was not as lucky, he died in front of his fiance at 39 years old.  :pray

Mine was only 95% blocked.  Strangest thing in surgery because they don't put you out all the way.  It was really surreal.

Don't go for any long walks until that plug dissolves.  I made the mistake of going for a long walk in the nature preserve soon after surgery and halfway through I could only walk for five minutes then had to stop and shake my leg for five minutes to get the blood flowing back through it.   :rolleyes:

Now comes multiple trips to the cardiologist until they get all your cholesterol and triglyceride numbers right.

Anyway, not a big deal as long as you made it to the doctors on time.

Speedy recovery my man! And glad you made it through the first (and often worst) big scare. If they managed to clear the clot, hopefully there will be little damage.

Trouble this early means LOTS of genetic predisposition, so from here on out expect to be seeing docs, taking meds, and follow up visits. You've had a wake up call, but as long as you stay awake and do what needs to be done - all should go well!


And BTW - if you ask the doc for flight clearance, make sure he knows it's VIRTUAL flying!
