I'll check that out.  I'm currently working on 'Winged Victory' by Geoffrey Perret which is so in depth and fascinating I'm going to have to read it twice to assimilate the data.  Then off to American Heritage New History of World War II by Stephen E Ambrose (author of Band of Brothers).  $15 total at Half Price Books.  I saw 'read a book' so many times in the wishlist I decided to start reading WWII history and it's been a real eye opener.

But we digress

202..

Dred when do you want me to count up the votes?

Monday night marks the end of the voting.

But I was thinking. inasmuch as HTC is sometimes calendar challenged when it comes to tours and release dates (kidding) Should I do the week from the end of the month (tues -mon) or the first week of the next tour?

FM-2

The 202 is a fun ride but hard to get more than 3 kills...the FM-2 you can get 12 out of if you know how to fly it.

Spits 8's are good for 7-- Ki-84 good for 7..was working on that one for awhile

SHawk once flew every plane in the set for the month.

Forget if he included bombers. He made sure he got a kill in each before moving on I Think and did them alphabetically.

Now thats a challenge!  :aok

I've done that.  I excluded bombers but made sure my K/D was 1 or better in each plane before moving on.  SkyRock went for a kill in every plane including bombers.  I think he got two kills in the C-47.

I don't know why everyone is choosing the 202.... must be because it's one of the hardest to get a kill in due to the gun package.  1 vs 1 it isn't that hard because the plane handles very well but it's going to take long concentrated bursts to bring someone down. When you are trying to fight more than one it's very tough, every one gets pinged but no one dies.

Flew it in Sea2 organized by Roscoroo a couple years ago against guys like Catus, Moot, WWM.  Of the few planes flown that night, against some of the best, thats the plane I got the most kills in.....but like I said, mostly 1 vs. 1 http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,257068.msg3184301.html#msg3184301

SCOTCH Owning Me in 202..I had the advantage, he's just better than i am. http://download849.mediafire.com/ap2pvoznhbrg/myuxyfjymzc/me%26scotch+202%27s_0651.ahf

Me and Scotch again...you can learn a lot from that guy. His control and throttle management are ACES http://download848.mediafire.com/2e6yx3g250lg/yzy1jz2mcty/me%26scotch+202%27s_0032.ahf

A very accurate description.  The nice thing about the 202 is that any kill you get you have to work very hard for, and therefore appreciate all the more.

totally agree with ya OM..... and it will be a good challenge to fly this verses most all other planes one might come up against in the MA's......

we are picking/choosing the C202 to give DRED a challenge.......... hence same reason I originally picked the P40b. to give him a challenge. not something easy to go fly and get easier kills in.....
