..im 18. i hit puberty a couple of years ago.

and the reason why i dont like pills is due to something i saw when i was 7.

was watching the health channel with the grand parents, and there was a documentary on about this woman.

she had a searing headache she said, so she took 2 tylenals to sooth it.

her body had such a negative reaction to it, that she went into a coma, and shed ALL her skin.

and i mean that, ALL. it was sick. they showed it all. you could see the yellow puss and some of her muscles. she survived it

but whenever i go to take a pill, that woman pops to my mind, and i just dont want to take it anymore.

and yea, chalk it up as a "Waste of time" because you dont understand my situation fully, yet want to talk like you do, and even have the nerve to mock me a little for it. so yea, dont bother.

You don't need a pill, you need hit with a shovel.

Like it or not you're addicted to caffeine and sugar neither of which will help you sleep and will cause you a myriad of health issues if you're drinking that much.  Kidney stones and diabetes sound like fun?  Think again.

You're taking a handfull of caffeine pills every night before bed it's just in liquid form.  Your fear of pills is irrational and nothing that you cannot get through.  FWIW, I don't take Tylenol for a host of reasons but do keep Advil on hand.  Same with Tums.  In either case I'm looking for ibuprofen and an antacid respectively.  "Pills" didn't do that to a woman you mentioned but the drug that pill was comprised of.  This is like saying you don't like to read swear words but are okay hearing them.

Stow the "you don't know my story" garbage because I don't need to.  I know the physiology and you're not helping yourself one iota.  Lose the mountain dew, go through the withdrawl (you're addicted to a drug.  Caffiene.) and get your bellybutton to a sleep professional who can help you with your issues because you do have issues.

As much as people who are 18 would like to think otherwise, your body is still growing up.

Obviously this documentary had a scaring effect on your psyche, so I don't want to make fun of it, but what happens when you're sick and the doctor prescribes an antibiotic? How many billion pills of acetaminophen are taken a year, without people's skin falling off?  Do you at least understand how illogical your fear is (not mocking you with that, many people have illogical fears, but still succumb to them)?

Also, I believe I understand your situation enough to tell you that there is no way to justify a 2 liter of soda every night as a sleep aid.
i dont drink it EVERY night. like i said i only take a nap when i finally feel ive lost enough energy too, i usually go about 3-4 days without any type of sleep. usually i dont feel tired, my eyes might feel a little dried out but other than that im wide awake.

and the documentary isent the only reason why i hate pills, i used to have to take ridelin/adaral when i was young. and that stuff did more damage than i'd like to admit to me. just the documentary is the main reason.

and i dont take pills, of any kind. whenever i got a flu/cold/etc. i just delt with it.

Me and a elder friend had a debate whether monster energy drinks, which had TAURINE under its nutrition facts (bull piss is what he thought it was at first) was a myth or not. He pulled out  his phone and searched it, turns out TAURINE is actually bull bile (crap) :uhoh CAN THIS BE TRUE!?!?!?! Wouldn't the FDA stop this!?!?!

I suggest you do some more reading, because this is very incorrect..

its called sleep. there's no reason why you kids should need a bunch of chemical crap in you to do something as basic as being awake.

Sleep is critical...but what kills most peoples day is a reEEEEAally crappy diet.  I switched from daily stops at a variety of fast food joints eating quick boxed meals and started eating better food and drinking stuff with less sugar (tea).  It is amazing how fast you start feeling more energetic.  As far as your sleep I stopped waking up every morning at 3 or 4 and sleep through the night.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

those 2 drugs right there tells a lot...it would be interesting to see what your diet consisted of when you were taking those drugs and what it has consisted of since your "sleep problem" began...i'm betting you had/have a diet of high carbohydrates which the body basically treats the same as sugar.

so far we have large amounts of caffeine, sugar and high fructose corn syrup...the reason you appear to be able to sleep after dosing yourself with mt dew is because your body is actually crashing from the overdose of liquid sugar and caffeine.

as for your aversion to tylenol...that show you watched, the woman had an allergic reaction to an ingredient in the medication and i'm willing to bet if you really thought about it, you would remember there were other factors involved, not just the tylenol...educate yourself.

when i have trouble sleeping, i pop 2 benadryl...non addictive, no serious after effects, common ingredient in otc sleep aids...

where do you get this stuff? i find it very difficult to believe someone has such a bad case of cranial rectumitis...but sometimes you remove all doubt that it is possible.

the fda does not manufacture any food products...it is a governing agency that sets and enforces standards for consumer products...it fails miserably just like all red tape government agencies but that's not the point.

food producers do not put rodent feces in food intentionally...the fda has set standards for maximum detectable levels of rodent and insect waste on foods within the food service/restaurant and manufacturing/processing industries...nowhere does it say "insert x amount of rat feces in..."

anyone who believes those energy drinks does anything more than a couple of mountain dews is lost without a clue...drink apple juice, it will do a better job of keeping you awake without poisoning your body.

Actually, considering the fact that mass food poisoning is considered to be so rare that it became a huge media sensation, the FDA is doing quite a good job keeping our food supply edible.  Yes, there will always be some shady/negligent manufacturers, but they are rare enough that you can go to the supermarket without fear.

i dont drink it EVERY night.

I don't do meth EVERY day.

I don't sleep for four or five days because I do meth once every few days or so.

I'm not an addict or anything, just a little bit of this or that here and there.

Sound familiar?

I don not understand, please elaborate.  If it's gross but safe, it doesn't matter.  Meat is murder, but it's tasty murder.  :D

there is no way to properly elaborate in such a manner as to give you the same picture/effect that a personal visit would give you...

when i had to take those two pills, my diet pretty much consisted of NOTHING. they zapped my hunger pretty much. i ate maybe a ham sandwich a day. skipped breakfast lunch dinner, all that. i was on those for about 3 yrs. it was getting so bad that i was going anarixec, from lack of eating. finally my mother took me to the doctors, showed them. but heres the worst part, they didnt ween me off this pill(like, give me a smaller&smaller dose until my body was used to not having it), they took me off a pill i had been taking for 3 years....in one day. just cut me off of it.
i wont lie, when i woke up the next day. i was having such bad hunger pains that i litterly ate everything in our fridge.everything.

im working my way to being able to fully sleep. im starting to be able to rest longer&longer (like this morning i was able to actually sleep for 4 hrs)

When I have trouble sleeping, I stand up, look straight down at my feet, and sprint headlong into the nearest wall.  That usually does the trick.  People have always been astounded at my ability to sleep virtually anywhere.

 :D

Ditch the caffeine dude.  You'll feel alot better in the long run.

all energy drinks are crap, along with soda's. i dont see how any of you could handle all that sugar and caffene in one can. i usually just drink water...its not that i get uber hyper its just that my system cant handle more than what is reccomended so i just eat the "healthy" stuff.

IMO dont drink energy drinks
