Good for that kid to stand up for himself. When I first saw the video, at first I was thinking "okay, fat kid picking on skinny kid" then it was the other way around, I was suprised. Only problem for the fat kid is the lawsuit the bully's parents can file if they chose to do so. Other than that - Fat Kid 1 - Skinny Bully 0

They were BOTH suspended from school.

And of course the bullies parents are filing a lawsuit.

I never saw the video, however, I now stand corrected.  That kid is going to be owned in court.  Two punches, a stranglehold, he had it coming a mile away.

That annoys the hell out of me. :( The two girls in the background laughing when the fat kid gets punched, the bigger kid that interfeers to protect his little punk buddy ... The other punk taking the video ' yeah let's take a video of my friend bullying someone else'.

If I ever see my kid doing something like that, i'd bodyslam him again when he comes home. Those losers are on the way to become real assets to society.

Kudos to the kid who was defending himself.  And the only thing he did WAS defend himself.  Notice that all he did was pick the kid up and throw him down, THEN back up and walk away.  If he was the little guy he would probably have kept on hitting and beating him but when the problem was put down, he knew he did what he had to do.  I think he showed great composure.

The way I see it, the big kid exhibited quite a bit of restraint.  He took a punch, after all, and didn't put the beat down on until after the big talking small bodied bully continued attacking.  He may have taught the mouthy kid a valuable lesson that may make him think twice before he bullies the next kid.  In fact it may completely prevent him from growing up and being a real <insert word for male genitalia> as an adult.

I feel any judge or jury would see the obese child as defending himself. From what the video shows, he neither threw the first punch and it was clear that first punch was not going to be the end of the event. To top it off, the obese child did what he had to and did not continue beating the small child when was down.

If that obese child was my son, I would not congratulate him but I would make it clear he acted proper. Heck, I'm not the type to sue, but I would in this case for suspending him.
