Tthe B70 only crashed because some guy was dumb enough to let the photographers influence him to fly in the wing tip vortices of a monstrously heavy plane.

Didn't they give the R model a single 20mm vulcan gatling?

     You must be thinking of the E, the Germans used an F that was basically an improved E.

The improvements to the E model included the AN/APQ-120 fire control radar and an internal M-61A1 Vulcan
cannon.  They also improved the fuel tankage and goosed the engines a tad.

     Look guys, the Avro Vulcan just launched a bunch of cruise missiles!  Ok, ok they're BAE Hawks, but they COULD be
cruise missiles  :D
