But then again the Chilton DH1 is a gorgeous little pre-war art deco bird, and I already have a set of plans for her.....

At Mt Home AFB I saw a Photo of an Ardvark (F-111) with 5 M-61 Vulcan gun pods mounted. It was of course a photo op only. The ammo guys said it would tear off the mounts to fire them all at once from vibration. When it was first deployed with the Ardvarks, a rear mount broke tipping the barrel up & shot the nose off the bird.  :confused:

One of my favorite approaches, right over that hotel.  Often wondered what it must be like to be in a room on the top floor on the south side.
