Favorite fighter (and fighter pilot, Robert S. Johnson) (the plane and pilot in foreground, for those who may not be familiar with the incident):

Favorite bomber.  To me this plane symbolizes the pinnacle of American 20th Century air power:

Mind telling me the story behind that first picture?

I've seen many photos of planes, and I have to say....I like them all. :aok

Just joined Lockheed Martin in April, and I am assigned as a mechanic on F-35 Lightning II known as AF-7. Above is a picture of it. Deffently a fun plane to work on.

I belive the F-15 was designed after the Foxbat. Have you heard about Victor Belanko's story?

Mig 25 is and was poop for anything except photo-rec, unless it is going against airliners that is.

Mig 21 was a very effective plane. Not because it was so good, it was only decent vs. the western opposition, but it was very cheap and extremely low maintenance. If your plan is to overwhelm the enemy with numbers - make it cheap. As much as I like the 21, it is but a firefly next to a searchlight when compared to the glory of its classic opponent - the Mirage III.

Besides, everyone knows that the coolest man made machine to ever to get off the ground is the de Havilland Mosquito

Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

The legendary Avro Arrow.  I got my lovely bride a desk model of this for her birthday.  I'm lucky enough to have a woman who thinks this is the coolest gift she could have gotten.  Well, except maybe her dress sword...
