His skid marks only show 3 tires.

Since rich and famous young people are known for putting large diameter and poorly engineered wheels on thier cars, I wonder if he didn't have a wheel depart his car before the accident.
a 911 GT3... anyone in their right mind is not putting a cheap all season tire on a car like that, i wouldnt put it past Dunn, but i dont think he was that stupid...

I see those big wheels fail at Drift events and have seen plenty of cars denied tech inspection at drag strips and runway events.

I'm just wondering why there are only 3 marks on a car model I am very familiar with being able to maintain contact patch of all 4 wheels in most any situation.

one brake failure? might be why he ended up going in the trees instead of around either side?

what i was thinking...

but, when you spend all that money on a car, you would hope all 4 brakes work...

he probably drove it pretty hard overall but had so-so maintenance habits?

maybe. high performance cars are high-maintenence monsters... failure to check fluids and the sorts could lead to a blown brake line...

Look at the yellow dots to the right of the skid marks (where the pink-ish gravel is)

Is it possible that the ass-end kicked out on him and then come back in line with the rest of the vehicle while the rear right tire never had a chance to leave rubber (since it slid in gravel)?

It almost looks like he was going for the exit and missed it...

Looked like the failure was passenger side, but then wouldn't that of caused more drag to the side overcompensating?

Edit:  The wheel failure might hold some ground, as it very mell may of not made a skid mark and may of caused a signifigant amount of drag, overcompensating and taking them off into the trees.

That what I was thinking, that or the two skid marks in the left lane were maybe there before him and his accident were?  Two possibilities, besides being too drunk contirbuting to the mess, but I'm curious what the road looked like imediatley before the area photographed in the pictures, you know, the stretch he was doing 140 on a mere couple seconds before the scene of the crash.

A failed brake would still net you skidmarks when a car is sliding sideways.

I wonder if he went off avoiding the car that made the other set of skid marks?

one brake failure?

unlikely on a new porsche. looks to me like he was trying to come off the exit, just going waaaay too fast. realised late and braked while turning right so the weight was on the front left corner. the inner rear (right) wheel would be unweighted so wouldnt leave a mark. you can see the rh track looks lighter than the left, even more so after it gets a kicker off that ramp.

the strange thing is no sign of ABS, pretty sure sport mode on porkers reactivates ABS if both front wheels lock up  :headscratch:
