« on: June 29, 2011, 11:12:06 AM »
Dear History channel,
I would like to know why you changed into a Reality Tv Drama Programming channel.
I dont care about Pawn Stars, I dont like iceroad truckers ( Wtf does any of this have to do with history) I want my dogfights, battle 360 and much more actual history stuff back. I hope you did not get taken over by google like youtube did. Youtube is a horrible place now....

Believe it or not, fellas, there is this whole expansive library full of history that has absolutely nothing to do with war.  Shows like Pawn Stars and American Pickers are certainly "on-topic."

Ice road truckers, swamp people, etc. are another story...

Even the Milt channel sort of sucks now. I miss Discovery Wings.

I miss the ol' "History" programs as well. At least they continue to show "The Most Interesting Man
in the World" commercials.  :D :D

I'd suggest these weird things called books.  Rumor has it that people actually put time and effort into their research before committing it to paper.  Many of these book things have pictures in them that go along with the text too.

I know, it's an old fashioned idea, but I figure it can't hurt to throw it out there :)

Can't forget about all them Kindle type things now Guppy , Killing the Hardback and Paperback book industry these days, I been finding alot of decent books at yard sales and thrift stores these days.

Plus depending on what cable provider you have there are multiple different channels for the History and Military channels offered where they run the History related programs rather the Reality Programs, Granted Pawn Stars has some very interesting Historical Artifacts coming in but then again I would not of settled on some of those prices those people took for them.
