There is a way, the corresponding task group linked to a recaptured port should automatically vanish after ~2-3 hours if it is not destroyed or the port is recaptured.

when it goes in that corner the cv cant be sunk.  it's like it has moved past the edge of the map.

Ah hah, Fish wasn't right and I was, nothing shows up on the map to indicate a CV is on the bordering sectors of a map.  It was right up along the extreme edge. (only if planes up off of it there, thus creating the off-edge radar indicator)

Say that again Semp, how is it unsinkable there?  Does the dropped ord disapear because it's traveling off-map or something?

Like the idea.  Hypothetical issue with it though-  Suppose it's been hidden for a while but some score potato who actually wants to do something useful with it comes on and drags it to an enemy base, things are just getting good when POOF!  2 hours is up and it sinks.

Personally, wouldn't bother me too much if it happened but I'd think it might create some angst among those who are so inclined.

Id have to say that some adventurous Lancaster Driver take a full fuel loadout, fly along the most Easterly portion of the Map at 35k, then when he gets to that teeny tiny corner (seein that now that a pic has been posted EVERYONE KNOWS now where that hidden CV is) and kill the CV. Grab a 12 pack, some potato chips, and a good Ditry Mag and enjoy the flight....see, no more hidden CVs  :x

OK, talked to Semp, got a much better understanding now of what the heck is going on, something is definetley very wrong, ontop of it being unusual for him to whine on the BBS for no reason.

Ideas:

CV goes into an automatic holding pattern at it's current location when port is destroyed. Eh, seems silly.

CV is slowed down by 10% when home port is destroyed. Thinking along the lines of conserving fuel because resupply is... alright forget that one.

CV is visible on clipboard after X hours have elapsed while its port belongs to someone else. <-- I think I like this one.

EDIT: Read Babalonian's link. Pretend this is a comment on hiding CV's in general.

Never heard any complaints when other countrys CV's were tucked away up there including Bishops. :rofl
