I thought it was kinda neat not knowing exactly what you were getting into thinking you were getting involved in a 1v1 then the whole sky turns red lol. I did have to up with about 75% gas so I could go fly around looking for a fight lol

Don't the letters DA stand for "dueling arena"???

Alot of kids play this game and I guess you can't really expect them to know their "letters" yet. :old:

But then again,why would there even be destructible strats, let alone an HQ in a dueling arena?? :rolleyes:

I'm pretty sure all maps must have HQs. On some maps its waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off in the corner.

There is no need for Radar in the DA.You just jump in a Tempest and HO every plane that you see. :bolt:

The person who did it said that relying on Radar only allowed Alt monkeys to know where to go while staying high up.


By taking the radar down, he theorized it would force people to stay further down, go to the middle of the lake, and fight on level terms.


From what i saw of it, it was about a 50/50, There were alot less alt monkeys tho.

It's a bug in the current settings then, as they already had been changed to prevent exactly that years ago. I guess that has to do with the updated DA map

But that's not the players fault. I can't blame anyone for bombing targets in the specifically designated bombing zone. Long time ago I was very surprised myself that I was able to kill the HQ ;), but that was fixed quickly then.

Could be what is happening. But I go in to have some fun with old squadies and fly a couple sorties and not have radar in the lake is a bit annoying. Especially when other contrite have it :)
