BF3 Epic Jet kill

Yeah and it is really easy to avoid the shoulder mounted SAMs and AA vehicles.  You take a pass wait for the enemy missile to lock and launch flares then you just have to be moving fast enough to stay out of the mini-gun and 50cal fire.  rinse and repeat.  Since the air combat in Aces High is so difficult and SA is required it is to easy to defeat the run of the mill noobs in bf3 most of which are flying with mouse and keyboard.  I killed 15 jets in a row and the other team complained about me and said they wouldn't fly anymore becuase I was a sweetheart or whatever.  So I proceeded to strafe all of their armored vehicles to hell.

Yup, don't overkill too much because otherwise you will start being called a hacker 
At some point, it will be hard not to be kicked off their servers and as such, it must feel gratifying instead of frustrating

Exactly I felt like I accomplished my mission once no one would up any more.  On one server a guy said so pitifully, "I hope you enjoy your free kills I am just trying to learn" that I apologized because I killed him 6 times in a row and stopped flying the jets for his sake.  It really isn't fair for the people who have never really flown in games before.

The Jets are pretty much nonplayers in the ground game. Nobody pays much attention to them. Its hard enough in a chopper to pick off enenmy soldiers let alone a jet. The fast movers were ill concieved, ill modeled, slow, and like I said, "no freaking joystick support". Then you always have mobs jumping in them, most of all on the 64 player servers. And I dont care how good you are your at risk of all the ground fire. Theres no training support. Players are just jumping in them and crashing them all the time.

The flight componant of BF3 is an epic fail. Its an arcade flight game not a multi-player sim. Dont leave Aces High to fly in BF3.

Checking out the video, there were also some great videos of mid airs with the jets. Spectacular. I haven't got BF3 yet, I'm broke, yes so broke that I couldn't afford the game. So grumpily I went back to MW2 online. There is an obvious drop in numbers on their servers. At one point there were just four of us in a free for all. I'm guessing everyone has migrated, at least until MW3 comes out.

As for the experience levels of the flyers in BF3. I wouldn't worry too much. The game is barely out. Once they get the hang of it, there'll be seriously epic battles. The AH brigade have the upper hand right not but it won't last.

1. Thats not me. Just a gif a friend show'ed me.
2. the repair tool (Propane tank) Does do damage to enemy vehicles, you can also kill enemies with it. Had alot of fun doing that in bc1.

The gif is basically, An engineer is running to a damaged friendly chopper to repair it, when all a sudden a strafing enemy jet comes out of nowheres, and due to poor piloting, crashes while attempting to strafe the heli. Blowing both him, and the heli up.

If you dont have the game you probably shouldnt even be commenting. Yes the game BF3 is capable of recording serious eye candy, yet so was CODBO and that game sucks. As far as the air game goes you will be extremely dissapointed going from a game like Aces High to BF3. Aces High has so much more flight control, so much better support, has Track IR, has a huge stable of available war planes and ground vehicles. If it was even close to BF3 graphics-wise I'd never play another game. And communications? Comms in BF3 sucks if your used to AH, where you have any number of voice channels available. Besides TS you only have a cumbersome drag and drop in game VOIP which doesnt work worth a darn anyways. Then to make it worse the squad system is messed up and your squad will end up getting split into different teams when the map changes anyways due to server balances. The end result is, even if your on a squad, and I am, you have to use TS3 with 1/2 on one team and the other 1/2 on another. And you end up talking about beer or baseball. A different experiences from the constant "check 6's" on Aces High.

So after the first few days of eye candy "wow" you start seeing the limits of this game. BF3 is not only not a flight sim its not even a flight game. Theres no real skil involved, no sticks or throttles, no comms, no teamwork. Only eye candy and waiting to get one of two airplanes. Plus its buggy and already being hacked.

I left Aces High due to the numbers drop and stale game play. I did not leave to play BF3 the flight game, and neither should you.

Lol no one is going to leave AH to fly in BF3.  However, I disagree that jets are not effective in the ground role once you get rocket pods they are as effective as the gunships pilots rockets.
