Frame stutter
« on: January 27, 2012, 12:14:13 AM »
I installed a new 64bit  windows 7 pro OS and installed a new AH. Before the update I had no problems ( running eye candy and shadows). Now I have frame stutter. I don't have alot of eye candy on and running 1024 texture. Tried turning off extra processes. UN-installed AH and reinstalled. Also noticed by the bases at times framerates get slower to the point with the stutter hard to even play the game.

Also noticed since I have installed the 6950 xfx 2 gig card my framerate overall has gone down. I am running a Phenom 940 quad overclocked to 3200 (mild overclock). I also notice looks like 1 processor is taking the load of the game. ( as discussed before in other threads)

I am running the card application controlled.

Any suggestions?

What are the precise settings you are running in "Video Settings", "Options->Graphic Detail", and "Options->Graphic Detail->Advanced"?

Also, a DXDIAG output would be helpful.

I believe you also need an Aces High profile for the ATI card to be able to use both GPU's.  I am not sure AMD/ATI provides one for Aces High.

Just a update.

I went and updated a driver on motherboard.  Uninstalled AH. Then I removed the AH folder and deleted it.
(last time  I reinstalled I didn't delete the folder)

Did a new install of AH.

My framerate is back to normal. If I want I can run shadows and the eyecandy like before and still have framerate.

Thanks for the offer of help.
