I understand playing sports; it is fun and it can keep you in shape.

I do not understand watching professional sports, it doesn't matter if you wear your team's store bought jersey; the league doesn't care about you, neither do the owners. Those two groups are the only ones that truly win when the teams play.

Same. I can play football, but everything moves too fast in NFL/CFL :D

I enjoy NFL, but I could never watch an entire game live

it took me like 3 sittings over separate days to watch 1 match on YouTube that had all of the commercials and extraneous replays/BS cut out

no wonder Americans tend to be so disgustingly fat, all that boredom eating while spending 4 hours watching other people do exercise :old:

the truth rarely makes one popular, especially with Americans ;)

to be completely fair, everytime I have vacationed in the US I have loved it, and the people have mostly been great

I watch NFL football because to me it's entertaining, and brings my family together.  Everyone likes different things, and has different reasons to like said things.   :aok

Eh, Football is okay to watch. But I'll agree it gets pretty boring sometimes.  The game itself only lasts about 20 minutes or so.  It's the half-time show, the commercials, the endless commentary... that's why I don't like watching football on TV.  Watching the game in person is alot better because you don't have to listen to all the garbage.

But even though I was never really a big sports fan it's nice to be able to watch a game while at work... unless it's soccer.  I hate soccer.  Not the players, or the game, or the refs, or the hillarious faking of injuries... but the vuvuzelas.  Almost every soccer game has this unceasing droning caused by those evil things that resonates in my right ear and drives me  :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead  I almost want to throw something through the TV at work when a soccer game comes on.

:old: And we American's are fat 'cause we eat too many carbs... go Protein!     :bolt:

We all know what the national pasttime in New Zealand is

So they tend to stay in pretty good shape. Sheep can run fast.

But I'm training hard!

Why do you take it on yourself to bash Americans as much as you can?

 :headscratch:

;)

to answer less evasively, there are a LOT of things I like about America and Americans. But there are also characteristics that really piss me off in people in general, no matter what race they are. Blind patriotism, hypocrisy, racism/xenophobia, superiority complex etc. It just so happens that traits like those seem to be more common than usual in the American populace ;)   you guys tend to be indoctrinated from an early age that America is the greatest country in the world, has never done any wrong, and every other country is jealous of you.

I actually do most of my trolling (and making friends :) ) with Yanks on another predominately American forum, where the general intelligence level is a lot higher and the ratio of redneck to rational person is a lot lower. So, when I come to the AH forums I vent my spleen a bit because I know it's really easy to get a reaction from all these mostly older guys, often ex-military...prime targets for some anti-American trolling.

It doesn't help that, having just moved to NZ I don't have my gaming PC or flight sim gear, so I'm bloody bored  :devil It's a bad habit, but one that I find hard to break.

classic example =D  drunk and angry internet toughguy. sorry your team lost the Super Bowl mate, and I'm also sorry that you and your countrymen are known and easily identified all the world over for being loud, obnoxious, ignorant (and don't forget fat) whenever they travel abroad (which rarely happens!)

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,328402.msg4300322.html#msg4300322   :rofl  yeah OK

So you watched the game without drinking, and put a hole in your wall because you were sober and not at all mad. Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Who is the internet tough guy here?

Umm, the guy saying 'Come over here and say that!'  to someone on an online messageboard? :)
