If she complains, tell her she can buy it herself. Seems like a lot for only a 300W psu and no video card. Actually I think you need a video card since that mobo doesn't have a video chipset.
Then I am confused by:(Image removed from quote.)
According to what I've read, the integrated "Intel HD Graphics 3000" is roughly equivalent to low-end cards like the Nvidia 9800 XT and AMD HD 5450.
that should be fine for what she is gonna do. she won't be gaming.
Are you saying she hasn't found the facebook games yet? They're like crack for women.
if in the future you want to get a video card for whatever reason. then you will have to spend more money to get a better power supply than if you bought one right now. early reviews for the 2500k cpu are full of people that used it with a 300w and had lots of problems.also the mobo has a limited number of pci slots and only 4 usb ports on the back, and that may limit you on possible upgrades later on or even adding more stuff.you are already spending money on a good computer spend a little more and have a great computer. If i was you I would spend an extra 100 bucks to get a better mobo and ps. you may never need it but if yours takes a dump you can always borrow your wife's puter.semp
