HT muted me once, I popped a "HTs using a hack FE again!" on CH #1 when he racked up some kills... I was kidding of course.

However coming back I went PRIVATE and said 'sorry just kidding', and HT explained his point of view (a very valid point too)... and everything was sweeeeet.

HTC are not a bunch of Nazi's, they give us a lot of room to be amazinhunks-online, most of the time we use it, every now and then we find an amazinhunk just to big to fit in the arena

My only fear in all this is the new guys will fail to realize that both guys banned in the last day have a history of this type of behavior. I don't think it is fair to characterize this situation as "the first time you screw up you're going to get banned for life". Both people are intelligent enough to know what they were doing and old enough to be responsible for their actions.

I won't even hazard a guess why these actions are happening now, or second-guess the motivation; all I know is it is happening, and it ought to serve as a clear message to all that, as Toad has said, it is time to follow the rules of social behavior we supposedly were all taught in school, at home, and in church. Those simple rules shouldn't have to be spelled out explicitly, because if we are old enough to hold a credit card we should be old enough to be a productive member of society. With that comes the assumption that we can operate in any environment of our peers and at least function in a socially acceptable manner. To do otherwise is to face rebuke or worse.

Vulcan, that's pretty much what happened today. I was really PO'd about it earlier as I Nath and I had been talking for quite a while before hand and he wasn't in the best of moods anyway (or was I).

I've seen HT reasoning for it though, and while I don't agree that a indefinate ban was the propper course of action, I understand the motive behind it.

I'm just curious as to whether anyone knows about the whole persona thing anymore. Some people play the arrogent ones, and like it or not, his erm, ability validated it to an extent. And Nath really was just playin with HT after the inital punt, but I can see how it didn't look that way.

"Blue mode"
Jigster, is realy very simple ,if im in white im a normal player to be played with,
I joke around, banter with people for fun, once in blue I am no longer a player , my persona switchs,I do my best to fill the players needs not mine.
If some one tries to push the bounds they leave me no choice but to deal with it.

"white mode"
With the excpetion of heater of course he is always a putz.
But in reality all I would have to say to heater is "not now" and you would not see him  say a word until the work mode ended.

From a strictly business perspective, it would have been vastly more logical to ban NATH for a day or two, rather than get rid of him completely--that way no money is to be lost.

Therefore, I must assume one of two things.  1)  HT is on a power trip (this is unlikely) or 2) HT is getting fed up with a lot of people's childish behavior and decided cleaning up AH is more important than the money he is losing.

I think 2 is most likely.  Quite frankly guys, this place has been starting to look like a zoo.  What a good time for "spring cleaning"

For a business (expecially a small one like HTC with limited funds to begin with), willingly reducing your income is an EXTREMELY drastic action.  Maybe this community needs to do a better job of policing itself.

I am surprised to see Nath gone, but only a little. He was the only one I squelched as soon as I saw him online everytime I saw him.

Can't say as I'll miss him.

Nothing like a little generalization to flesh out the thread either. Could this be another "true color" coming out?

Ahh, the lynch mob rides again.

A great pilot gets kicked. A spirit who could not be tamed.

Now everyone who ever had a dispute with Nath will find how baaaad he was for the comunity. How we all were suffering from his messages on Ch1, right ? How he was ruining the game for 200 people online ? Good choice, HTC, you say. Like a good servant.

You who agree with the ban ! What are your real motives ? I doubt that they are for the benefit of the game – your motives are as low as they can be. He most likely hurt your ego. Unable to beat him in the air, you now enjoy this gravedance. Disgusting.

Cowardly reaction. No wonder such methods are successful, they find good soil in you, people. HTC’s decision is their right – they protect their business. I don’t question if the decision is right or not. The real crap here is your reaction, so called community.

I had my history of dispute with Nath. We were openly arguing on this very board. Even a full year later, while flying for same squad, I could feel slight traces of antagonism between us. Wow, that’s the spirit. Commitment. While it is not easy to have such spirit in own squad, I would never let him go away. We need such rebels, they have the winning spirit. Something you cowards surely lack.

Now he gets banned. What, do I have to rejoice like some sleezy asskissers here that go along with the power ? At least keep your dignity, schadefrauen.

If I was in Nath’s shoes, I’d never look back at this community.

The least you can do now is to stop slamming someone who can’t talk back. Disgusting.
