Bob Ross
« on: April 26, 2012, 05:21:00 AM »
I used to watch him all the time. He was an amazing Artist.
Just to watch his creativity. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago.
Just a short film of him starting a new painting, it's not whole show.
I recommend watching several. Wish I could paint lol.

It was his voice, used to calm me down and help me fall asleep when I worked nights.
He's a lover, not a fighter... but he's also a fighter, so don't get any ideas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRaTekm9Ak8  http://one_foggy.tripod.com/sounds/afu_jokeson.wav

Try William Alexander; same wet-on-wet technique, but with a firey German personality. Both he and Bob were entertaining in their own ways.

"Happy tree here... happy bush over there... and myabe a gentle wind effect here... there... a very happy scene."

It was neat watching him dream up some of the things he did.

I took a class they had here. One of his students gave it. I was the only guy there, felt a bit out of place, but I have to say, my painting was the best one  :neener:

The techniques were easy to learn and made painting fun and easy for everyone.
