1A Better vis of courrse, better accel, better climb. Due to the higher seat position you also have an improved deflection shooting capability.
1D Carries ord, pylons slow it down. Reduced endurance due to elimination of all fuel tanks except the main (fwd of cockpit). Most stable imho though hardly a factor. I rate it least tough the three as modeled because of vulnerability of fuel system.
-1 Slightly better turn radius but accompanied by the most abrupt stall characteristics of any Corsair making it dangerous to push the envelope low and slow.
There's no shortage of ppl who know how to fly the 1A, but there's only one person I see landing kills in the -1 over a long period of time. To really get into the weeds of how the -1 is different, Specs is your guy.
