For my racing pedals I use a high tech solution.  I place the yellow pages between the wall and the pedals.  I can also adjust it to place the pedals closer or further from me as I see fit.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I tried velcro and losts of it.  it didnt work in my carpet.  so I learned to not push so hard with your feet.

Screw your pedals to a piece of plywood and cut to holes in the plywood to put chairs feets into :rofl

  Ah,sry my mistake!        Much like Bizman I used bungie cords to keep my chair from moving until I came up with the plywood base. I decided I wanted my controls mounted to my chair arms to be more comfortable and made some mounts very similar to what Mntman uses,search help and training for a pic of his mount system it can be adapted to any chair. In the end I bought a bentwood chair and mounted every thing to this wooden chair,placed it on a plywood pedestal and put casters under the whole thing so it can be moved out of the way easily.

   If I posted pix I'd post some of my chair so others could use some of the ideas!
