Actually, Krusty, the "advance" part is to give each team time to prepare for the inevitable obstacles ahead of them, not wring our hands over the minutia of irrelevant altitudes.
Both the CO's and XO's of each team are the event designers. From the Axis perspective, and as the Axis CO, I have absolutely no concern about the alt of the bombers. Be careful you don't spend time trying to fix something that isn't broken, or simply broken in your opinion. If you would like to know why I am not concerned about the alt, you need to join up and get involved, I won't be explaining it to you out here, as that would give up strategy. Don't make the mistake of thinking I'll be doing much justification in the Axis forums though either, as we are working to get really good at identifying and overcoming obstacles, not arguing over what needs to change in the rules. This team is prepared for any alt, that is the only way we will never be surprised or distracted by where we find them.
Not much time to talk, too much to actually do. Join or not. But please be careful about speaking to our needs on the Axis side when the Axis side is perfectly happy. If you do decide to join though, be prepared to invest a great deal of time in flight preparing, that's what our team is looking for, effort.
We have had this conversation before. Wasting time on speculation, and not nearly enough time spent in actual preparation. If you are participating, pick a side. If not, don't be mad if the conversation with you ends, we are all kind of busy with the realities of what we have to tackle.
Side note, fighters aren't supposed to be taken buy surprise and try to catch up to the bombers. That's just poor scouting and lack of communication and coordination. That is solved by changing attitudes, not altitudes.
