You've never played soccer then! If it was easy to be good anyone could playing in the big leagues. That's the charm of soccer, it looks easy and anyone can play the game and enjoy it. But there is a difference between the Sunday player and the pros.  My nephew has played at junior level for Ireland. At the moment he is marked for a career in the English Premier division if he keeps fit. When you watch him play you can see the vast gulf between the fun players and the real talent. He has that talent. It's hard to define but easy to see.

I hope to see him play for Ireland at senior level one day but interestingly he is English born and his Father is half English so if he's good enough they will snap him up. Which will make me an England supporter

Soccer looks easy that's why it's so beguiling. Everyone in the stands and watching TV thinks they can be there. The truth it otherwise.
