Drinking and Flying?
« on: July 10, 2012, 08:03:25 PM »
How many of you drink alcohol and fly in AH, and what day of week and time of day/night do you do it?

If I had to guess, the most liquored up pilots are up on Saturday nights at around 2 am EST.

I just want to optimize my chances of easy kills!

For the record, I'll fly after having one beer max, and even then I can tell my abilities to think in four dimensions have dropped considerably.

I sometimes treat AH like a public bar, have a few drinks and talk BS for a few hours, it can be fun.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

Got drunk with google one night, decided to do a 262 run...... he plowed into a tree taking off.......the end, while I ho'd 3 planes and survived without a ding, but to run to get another beer i plowed into a mountain side.

I do drink and fly, somehow it relaxes my nerves and lets me do what I do best and simply fly.
Sometimes you do well other times you plow into trees here are some fine examples:

The Bad: Lost 3 262s one night in 5 minutes or bailed out of a B-29 while trying to calibrate
The Good: landed 9 in FSO or 14 in a scenario plastured, or catch the entire muppets squad taking off in 262s while drunkingly chasing Angus's 262 back to ack.

Beer.....It's the creator and answer to all problems.

It's amazing I do as well as I do because I'm always drinking when I'm flying.  I just have to remember to stay away from the BBs afterwards.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.
