I am proud to announce that the Reckless Faith Trilogy is now available for the Kindle. First time readers will be able to buy all three books (in excess of 1200 pages) for only $3.99, and returning readers will find a streamlined and enhanced story arc.

If you're new to the story, it involves humans adapting alien technology to create a warship.  They load it up with the best weaponry they can find at the time that they can reasonably expect to operate, including the GAU 8/A 30mm and GAU 19/A .50 cal weapons systems.

Since I just chewed through Saxman's, I'll be buying this when I get home.

I think at some point we've all held our favorite firearm, looked in awe and wonder at the starry night sky, and thought, "I'd love to shoot an alien in the face with this."

Thank you to everyone who purchased a copy yesterday!  It was a very successful launch day and I'm very encouraged.

I was messing around with the settings and I think I accidentally took the book offline for a few hours today.  If you tried to order it, and the order didn't go through, please try again.  Also, please report any errors or anomalies you may find, and which device you were using.  The book looks perfect on my Kindle app for the PC but there are a few minor formatting problems on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet.  I would be curious to know if others see the same problems.

Fortunately, it is just an issue with double tab spacing on some new paragraph lines, and isn't too distracting (I hope).  It only appears about halfway through the book so I missed it on launch day.  I am not sure yet how to fix it; trial-and-error editing in this case is a tedious process:  Edit original document -> Upload to Amazon for conversion -> Download converted document to PC and Tablet -> Review document on each platform -> Upload fixed document to go live on Amazon.

It was also brought to my attention that there was a spelling error in the book description.    It figures after the umpteenth time of scouring a 350,000-word document for errors that I would screw up the description.

Just stumbled upon this thread a few minutes ago. Never thought I would find the author of Tarantula Nebula posting on these boards. Small world. Anyways, I haven't read any of your books but I have seen them at a few bookstores and was considering picking them up sometime. Once I finish up with reading the books I have now, I will definitely move over to yours next up! :salute

I bought the trilogy when this thread was new, but I haven't had the time to read any of it yet. However I have suggested it to a number of my friends.

That would explain why I was forced to read the Glossary and Tech Manual until last night when the books became available.  I just read a few chapters during lunch and so far enjoy it.  I assume it'll be expounded upon later, but the towel scene left me believing Ari has a nice set of ta-ta's  :O .

D'oh!  I don't know why it did that, the only thing I did was add credit to the cover artist on Amazon.  I apologize for the disruption.  It's odd that you could access some of the document, but not all of it.  I hope you realized there were major spoilers in the Tech Manual section.  Like, huge, important plot points...

You can use your imagination on my characters all you want.  :D  If it helps, I had Jolene Blalock as my mental picture of Ari (Enterprise was on the air at the time).  From a literary perspective, mentioning that a character is attractive is meant to help explain the reaction other people may have to them.  Also, this:

Just a quick update, the Reckless Faith Trilogy has been my most successful new title launch ever.  In only 12 days it has already reached 50% of the sales of The Fox and the Eagle, which has been out for more than a year!  As a self-published author, with only his fans to help spread the word, this is very encouraging.

Thank you to everyone who purchased either book throughout the duration of this thread.  As always, signed copies of the physical books are available at cost directly from me.  Please let me know if you want any.

Disclaimer: I have never shipped a signed book overseas, so I don't know if it would be cost effective for anyone outside of the US to request one.  If it makes a difference, I would be willing to sell below cost just to get you the book.  I would rather you had it in your hands than I make a couple of bucks.
