The Jag Jags were mostly bad in that era like all British cars due to industrial action and idiotic cost cutting which irreparably damaged the reputation of British cars, unfortunately.

I was reading recently about the development of the XK engine which was apparently fleshed out on fire watch on the roof of the Coventry factory in the blitz. 

They were all pretty shocking in terms of build, trade unionism and bone idle Brummies killed the British car market. No denying that the Jags were stunningly beautiful despite being banged together with a pig hammer in the 15 minutes between strikes

Sorry so late in responding. Yes, there are quite a few left, some even in this good of condition.  I saw one for sale in this shape on Carigslist in Washington state a couple years ago minus the engine for $5500.00, still in the factory paint.  There is little collector interest, so they remain fairly cheap.

I was a Brock/Holden fan from when I was about 6-7. I grew up in the V8 Supercar years so I missed all the great Group C & A racing. This "Car of tomorrow" V8 stuff makes me sick. If your car is trying to look like a production car, use a production car and let me go down the road and buy it from the dealership!

some day soon, i will get a new engine or rebuild the current one in my 1992 Ford F250 it was my first vehicle and it will never be replaced in my heart, and i think it still gets better mileage then my 2002 chevy blazer

   Well just picked this up last sunday in southern Ohio for 700 bucks!!   Its a 1929 Model A sedan and was last on the road in 74. It was used in st. Patrick's day parades in the late 60's to mid 70's. the owner was the president of some local club hence the name "presidents limo" 

   I'm going to turn this

It's not often you get a deal like that.

As far as australian racing cars,  I started to lose interest once the series became "V8 supercar series".

I kind of liked the mid 80s cars in that series.

I almost did a wide body similar to this one on my 1984 910 import with inline six turbo engine but I got the Infiniti.

My brother has a genuine GTR-XU1, it's his second one and he bought it about ten years ago for $17,000. When he went to insure it Shannons were the only people that would go near him and they valued it at $120,000. I think he nearly passed out, here's a pic of him at Bathurst this year where his club did a demo lap
