Did the catch fence hold?
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

You can see some parts of the car flew over the fence...not good.  I just read http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nascar/2013/02/23/huge-car-crash-mars-nationwide-series-race-at-daytona/1941529/ two of the many injuries were in the upper deck.  :uhoh

Yeah, that would not be good, though the it looks from the clip like the car in front went high to cover the 2nd place guy who was doing the same, they came together. Racing incident for my money. Again, hope all OK.

Last I heard, there was at least one critical with head trauma in surgery.

I saw one pic of a wheel in the upper deck, almost all the way up by the press box area.  Crazy...

That tire/hub/suspension piece weighed about 150 lbs and was travelling over 150mph (according to SPEED-TV). At least 28 people were injured, 2 critically.
But you guys go ahead and yuck it up about NASCAR because that's real funny...
