Being one of the few women in the game, I know exactly how you feel.  I have had more than my share of comments and pm's than I care to discuss.  I am pretty thick skinned and try not to let things get to me, but have almost quit the game more than once over things like this.  I can handle the joking and razzing, but some get down right personal and mean about it and I have left the game more than upset quite a few times and wondered why I play the game. Best advice...report and squelch and move to another base.  There are a few people that I try to avoid in the game especially after a certain time of night on the weekend...that is when it ususally gets worse.
 
If you need anything, let me know, I will try to help.  Just remember that the guys that do this are probably living in their mommies basement and have never been in contact with a woman before, let alone talked to one.

The first thing you should done is simply dot squelch the game ids, this would take as long as typing out a message and have non of the potential repercussions of typing a message to them.

How did they make fun of you after you PMed them?

Don't let the immaturity of a couple spoil it for you. There are ton of great people in this game. Report them to HTC and they will be swiftly dealt with. That kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Please, reconsider. I'd rather see 2 bad people go over 1 good person leave..... :salute

I'm sorry that you had to go through what you did, there is nothing acceptable about the behavior of the two individuals who insulted you, and I sincerely hope that HTC does what is right in this instance. Personal attacks are no fun, but the bigger person is able to A: ignore them; and B: NOT take their ball and go home.  Seriously, getting "bullied" is not cool, but the drama is on the same level.

I hope the O/P can find it in her way back to these forums and back in to the virtual skies of AH.  Losing a player of either sex, any nationality, any political stature (yes, even you self titled communists and socialists  :) ), any creed, or any race for any reason is not good.  It would be good to have about triple the numbers playing in AH.  

Speaking of which, does HTC have a referral program of some sort???  :D
