They make a deep fried dough treat shaped like a Beaver Tail at a ski resort we went to in Ontario that the kids loved.  That's what they called 'em "Beaver tails".  They should dip the narrow end in vanilla.

I used to do a fair amount of beaver trapping, and I can't say that I'm too surprised.  While doing my skinning, I used to remove the anal and castor glands to use for making my own attractant/bait, and although I wouldn't say it smelled exactly like vanilla it wasn't that far off either...

Kind of like the way a certain potency of skunk essence smells almost exactly like shredded wheat cereal, I imagine a slight amount of beaver gland would make a decent vanilla substitute.  Heck, skunk essence used to be used to make perfume...

Y'Know at the grocery store we work at there's this small section in produce that has cotton candy flavored grapes and the first ingredient listed is beaver anal secretions.



First of all who decided to taste beaver anal secretions? That's what i'd like to know.
